Quick Links
Navezgane is a huge map with lots of areas for players to explore. From large towns to small hidden hideaways, there are countless places for players to find and loot in7 Days To Die.Not only are there lots of great places to explore above ground, but there are a handful of bunkers dotted around the map for players to stumble across.
Some of the underground locations are pretty hard to miss, while others are hard to find. Some veteran players will already know where most of the underground locations are. Butfor those newer players, this guide will help them locate some of the best and most interesting underground locations in Navezgane.
Bart’s Salvage
Bart’s Salvage may look like a fairly basic POI. However,it has a pretty big bunker that is home to lots of zombies and a lot of great loot. There are a couple of ways you can gain access to the bunker. The first is through a hatch in the back of the salvage yard. The second way involves the player digging up some of the metal flooring inside the main building. This will lead to some stairs that go directly into the bunker.
The bunker spans across multiple levels. It isa good place for those wanting to live underground. However, this location isn’t ideal for low-level players. The bunker is filled with the undead, making it a rather challenging place to clear out. If you want to clear out this location, it’s best to bring some good guns, plenty of meds, and if possible, a couple of friends to help out.
New Life Hope Cabin
Located just a stone’s throw away from Bart’s Salvage, New Life Hope Cabin is located right on the border of the pine forest region. The underground section of this POI isn’t as big or as hard to clear out as Bart’s Salvage. There are a few ways you may enter this underground cave system. The first is by going through the hatch inside the well. The second is through a hidden ladder at the back left side of the garage on the left side of the property. The final way in is inside the main building.
As you enter the above-ground building, the floor will give way, and you’ll fall down into a large body of water inside the cave system. While it may not be the best place to turn into a base,it hasthe potential to make a somewhat decent mine.
Hidden Hollow
Hidden Hollow is very easy to miss. Located in the pine forest region, this area is in the middle of nowhere. There are no roads leading up to it and no large structure to indicate anything special in the area. The only thing that players will see is an abandoned car. But, if you look around, you’ll see a small hatch hidden behind some bushes. This hatch leads to an underground bunker.
While it’s not the biggest bunker in Navezgane, it is ideal for low-level players who wantsomewhere to stay during the night. There are a couple of zombies that you’ll need to evict before moving in, but it is a very easy place to occupy. Also, since there are no structures around the bunker, it is possible to build a fortress around it with relative ease.
Prepper’s Den
Prepper’s Den is located in the middle of nowhere in the wasteland. In the middle of the rubble piles, there’sa hatch that leads down to a small shipping container-sized bunker. With just one or two zombies inside, it is the easiest underground location to take over. While there is some loot inside, it is nothing too special.
This bunker isn’t really great to convert into a base as it is very small. Also, since it’s in the wasteland, you’llencounter tougher zombiesduring horde nights, should you choose to call this place home. It is an interesting location to visit, but it isn’t one that’s worth occupying.
Canyon Mine
Canyon Mine is located pretty close toTrader Bobinside the desert biome. While it doesn’t look like much from the outside, as its name would suggest, Canyon Mine is actually a pretty large underground mine. Keep in mind that there are lots of tough enemies that you’ll need to clear out while visiting the mine, but it’s worth it for the loot.
Not only that, but with it being a mine, there are lots of great resources that players can harvest. The mine has several large oil shale deposits which can be used to make gas. To enter the mine, you can either destroy the floor inside the building or head down into the large canyon next to the mine where there are a couple of other entrances.
Aranea Caverns
High-level players may want to pay Aranea Caverns a visit. Located south of Trader Joel in the wasteland,Aranea Caverns is a fairly large cave system with plenty of good loot and valuable ore nodes to mind. While it is a great place to go for some loot, it is a challenging place to clear out. There are zombies hidden all over the mine. So, proceed with caution.
Unfortunately, it isn’t particularly great as a base as its walls aren’t well fortified. But it is a great place to go for those keen adventurers who enjoy exploringthe more challenging POIs that Navezgane has to offer.
Rotten Cavern
Rotten Cavern is a huge network of caves that go deep underground in the wasteland. It is very easy to get lost inside this area, so be sure to bring a light source and place down a few blocks every now and again so you can find your way out.
Rotten Cavern is home to lots of tough zombies that are hidden all over the place.Rotten Cavern is not for low-level players. You need to be well-armed in order to make it through this place and come out the other side alive. With it being a large cave, there areplenty of ore nodesto mine. There is also a decent amount of loot, especially as you make your way toward the bottom of the cave.
Journey’s End
Located right at the top of the map, on the other side of Perishton Tunnel, there’s a pretty modern old folks home on top of the snowy mountains. This location doesn’t have an underground bunker. Instead, it has a really nicely decorated basement that can easily be converted into a player base. Since the location sits on the top of a mountain,it is a great vantage point for those who want to pick off zombies one by one as they approach during horde night.
The whole building is a nice and warm area, minus the undead guests! But the enemies that spawn here aren’t that difficult to take out. Since the whole area is pretty remote, there is plenty of open land for players toexpand and grow their base as time goes on.
