As fans draw closer and closer to the release ofCall of Duty: Black Ops 6, Activision has finally started to release teasers for the game’s highly anticipated Zombies mode. Similar to previous years, these freshCall of Dutyteasers are being released by Activision in a highly unusual way.
After Activision released the first trailer forBlack Ops 6during the massive Xbox Game Showcase back in June, fans were eager to know what Treyarch Studios had in store for the series' monumental Zombies mode. A deep dive intoCall of Duty’s next entry revealed plenty of new gameplay mechanics, such as an omnidirectional movement system, which allows players to run, dive, and slide in any direction. But, aside from aBlack Ops 6teaser video released by Treyarch, details on the game’s Zombies mode have been fairly scarce.
Activision has finally started to tease the game’s Zombies mode with a mysterious new website, but it shouldn’t come as much of a surprise considering there are less than three months to go until the nextCall of Dutygame is released and only a matter of weeks left until thefirstBlack Ops 6beta weekend begins. Over on the officialCall of DutyTwitter account, a short video directs fans to a website known asTheTruthDies.com, where the community can flick through various channels to uncover new teasers for the mode.
Activision Ramps Up Black Ops 6 Zombies Teasers
If players visit this unusual website, they will quickly realize that many of the channels available to flick through will greet them with an “off-air” message. However, there are a select few channels that will show a brief teaser forBlack Ops 6’s Zombies mode. Currently, only two teasers have been released on the website, but it looks like there could be more to come and may even potentially be building up to the release of a full trailer.
While there’s still plenty to be revealed aboutBlack Ops 6’sZombies mode, it was confirmed during the game’s reveal that round-based Zombies would finally be returning. The mode was noticeably absent from last year’sModern Warfare 3and is often highly requested by fans whenever a newCall of Dutytitle comes with a Zombies mode. The first teaser for the mode also confirmed thatBlack Ops 6would include a Zombie map called Terminusand another known as Liberty Falls, the former of which appears to have been teased once again in one of the new teaser videos.
These teasers don’t particularly reveal anything ground-breaking, but fans have already noticed thatBlack Ops 6could be bringing back a controversial Zombies mechanicfrom 2020’sBlack Ops Cold War. For now, theCall of Dutycommunity will have to wait until the COD Next event for more details. The yearly event will return on August 28th with plenty of fresh details about the next entry in the series.
