Demon Hunter Hero Talent: Aldrachi Reaver

Inspired by the Aldrachi, an ancient glaive-weilding warrior race, this Hero Talent allows Demon Hunters enhance theirThrow Glaiveability to gain powerful effects. The keystone node for Aldrachi Reaver transforms Throw Glaive intoReaver’s Glaiveafter castingThe Huntor consuming a certain number of Soul Fragments. Reaver’s Glaive deals increased damage and also enhances Shear and Soul Cleave for Vengeance, and Chaos Strike and Blade Dance for Havoc.

Using these enhanced abilities after Reaver’s Glaive not only provides damage boosts through talents likeReaver’s Mark,Fury of the Aldrachi, andThrill of the Fight, but more importantly, it increases Soul Fragment generation through talents likeAldrachi TacticsandWounded Quarry.

The main gameplay loop for Aldrachi Reaver revolves around generating and consuming Soul Fragments to activate Reaver’s Glaive as frequently as possible. While initiating this loop can take some ramp-up time, The Hunt can be used to instantly generate Reaver’s Glaive and kick-start the cycle.

In addition to the damage benefits, the increased Soul Fragment generation from Aldrachi Reaver also provides significant defensive advantages through talents likeUnhindered Assaultand Thrill of the Fight.

Demon Hunter Hero Talent: Fel-Scarred

Fel-Scarred Demon Hunters amplify the power of the fel fire by empowering several abilities after entering demon form withMetamorphosisor through theDemonictalent. Using an empowered ability triggersDemonsurge, the core ability of the Fel-Scarred, which deals uncapped fire damage to nearby enemies.

The main gameplay loop of Fel-Scarred revolves around aggressively using abilities prior to Metamorphosis to benefit from cooldown resets provided byViolent Transformation, before quickly activating empowered abilities to proc Demonsurge for massive burst damage. This playstyle is particularly powerful in Mythic+ due to Demonsurge’s uncapped AoE, but it may fall slightly behind Aldrachi Reaver in single-target situations.

For the Vengeance specialization in Mythic+, Fel-Scarred can be quite challenging, as many offensive abilities are tied to defensive functions. However, Fel-Scarred offers slightly higher demon form uptime through its cooldown resets. Additionally, Fel-Scarred provides a very strong defensive talent withSet Fire to the Pain, which converts 5% of all non-Fire damage into a Fire DoT while also reducing Fire damage taken.

Demonsurge

[Vengeance] Metamorphosis now also greatly empowers Soul Cleave and Spirit Bomb. [Havoc] Metamorphosis now also causes Demon’s Bite to generate 15 additional Fury.
