Once Humancombines ahorror game, with survival mechanics and a unique storyline. Rather than following the tired old zombie trope,Once Humanis set in a world that has been polluted by genetically altering star stuff. The free-to-play game offers many hours of gameplay, even if the player never buys anything from the cash shop.

Dotted around theopen-world mapinOnce Human, are a number of Securement Silos. These are short, instanced dungeons with a unique boss and some interesting puzzles to solve. Each silo can be completed in normal, hard, and pro modes, with scaling rewards and difficulty levels.

Securement Silo ALPHA In Once Human

6Securement Silo ALPHA

Located In Chalk Peak

Inhabited by Rosetta enemies,Securement Silo ALPHAis no pushover, mainly due to the high amount of incoming ranged damage the player will have to mitigate. There are multiple locations within the silo with split levels and high walkways. These walkways are often populated by very annoying sniper enemies, and there are also many grenadiers throwing grenades.

The bonus section has a small puzzle that requires the player to energize some power conduits, releasing a mini-boss. The final boss isn’t too much of a problem if he can be kept at range. The best idea is to kill all of the standard enemies, whilst kiting the boss, and then once the room is clear of every enemy apart from the boss, unload DPS on him. The same tactic works in hard mode.

Securement Silo PSI In Once Human

This is a fairly slow silo to farm, simply because there are so many ranged enemies. Another downside of farming Securement Silo ALPHA inOnce Humanis that it isn’t populated by polluted enemies, so there is no acid being dropped.

5Securement Silo PSI

Located In Red Sands

This is another silo that is inhabited by Rosetta enemies. So once again, lots of snipers and grenadiers to avoid. Some rooms have enemies hidden around corners, so it is advisable for players on their first run through Securement Silo PSI to go slowly.

The boss fight is one of the more annoying ones inOnce Human. The player has to kill a deviant refrigerator that sits on a large pile of trash in the middle of a large room. The room is frozen, and there are quite a few Rosetta enemies frozen enemies dotted around the map. As the boss fight progresses, these ice statues thaw and turn into normal enemies.

Securement Silo PHI In Once Human

In order to kill the boss, the player has to take down two shields that are protecting generators, by picking up ice spikes the boss has thrown, and using them to break the shields. Only once this is done will the player be able to destroy the generators and finish off the boss.

4Securement Silo PHI

Located In Iron River

This is the first of the polluted silos on this list. Meaning the player will be facing deviated enemies. This is good news, as many of them drop acid and a full run-through Securement Silo PHI inOnce Humancan net around 30acid in loot.

Several of the rooms in Securement Silo PHI are heavily populated with enemies and can be pretty tough to manage for players without the levels and gear needed for this silo. The best tactic here is to kite the enemies, turning to unload a magazine on them between reloads.

Securement Silo SIGMA In Once Human

The boss fight is made hard by the fact that during the battle, a fair number of normal enemies will spawn and attack the player until the spawners have been destroyed. The boss itself isn’t too dangerous as long as the player stays at range.

3Securement Silo SIGMA

Located In Broken Delta

Securement Silo SIGMA is a Rosetta installation, and it is populated by a large number of ranged enemies. Although not too many snipers spawn in this silo. As long as a player takes the large rooms slowly, and uses cover to duck behind to reload, they shouldn’t have too many problems even on their first run-through.

The seepage zone is pretty off the wall. The player is dumped into a children’s playroom and has to defend an arcade machine from waves of polluted enemies. However, this is entirely optional and can be skipped.

Securement Silo THETA In Once Human

The boss fight isn’t too bad. As long as the player kills all of the enemies that spawn with the boss, they can then turn on the boss at their leisure. However, once the boss has lost around a third of his health, he becomes immune to normal gunfire. At this stage, the player has to locate a minigun that is on the floor in the large boss room and use it to kill the boss.

2Securement Silo THETA

Securement Silo THETAis one of the better silos inOnce Human. It has plenty of polluted enemies, so it is possible to farm acid by repeating this silo over and over. At the start of the silo, things can get a little hectic if the player inadvertently activates the spawns without being ready. Grenades and explosives are useful here, to hit each spawn point before the enemies notice the player.

The seepage zone is quite interesting. The player will find a room with 6 statues dotted around, with puddles of water showing a reflection of each shadow. By rotating each statue to align with its reflection, the player will spawn a mini-boss.

Securement Silo EX1 In Once Human

The boss fight is pretty straightforward. All the player needs to do is keep moving to avoid the multiple spawns of normal enemies, as once the boss is dead, these will despawn anyway. Just keep running around, taking shots at the boss and avoiding its slow, ranged attack until it is dead.

1Securement Silo EX1

Securement Silo EX1 is great fun. It is populated by polluted Rosetta enemies, and general deviated enemies as well, making it a fairlydecent acid farm. There are two large rooms near the entrance, with two levels of prison cells. These cells open up, releasing an increasing number of enemies, so it is important to keep at range here, and not get surrounded.

Just before the boss room is a strange road, with a set of traffic lights halfway down it. The mechanism here is a bit complicated to understand at first. When the light is green, the player can move towards the door at the end of the street. When the light turns red, the player must stand still. If they try and move while the light is red, they will be put back at the start of the street.

The boss fight is a pretty drawn-out affair. The player has to shoot out each of the lights on the boss’s head. Each light destroyed takes away some health from the boss. However, the prison cells that line the room keep releasing normal enemies as well, so the player has to take care of these as well. If the boss gets a clear shot at the player, they get frozen and take some heavy damage over time, so it is best to shoot at the boss from the cover of one of the pillars around the room.
