RPGs are known to provide a large range of weapon types for players to explore and find the one that fits them best.Throne and Libertyoffers seven types of weapons, with one acting as a player’s equipped choice and the other offering various benefits from its own set.
Each weapon offers a defensive skill, many active skills, and passives. Even if a player never uses their second weapon choice to attack, just having it as one of their weapon types can provide many advantages. For example, the Longbow paired with the Wand & Tome can result in one ofthe best healing methodsthe game has to offer. Here’s how all the weapon types in the game stack up, so players can choose what they most want to take along for their adventure.
7Staff
AoE & Magic Damage
The Staff is not a bad weapon. In fact, it offers pretty decent damage output against smaller enemy groups. However, it offers very little in the survivability department. Players might struggle to clear an elite enemy or boss that they could easily fell with different weapons equipped.
Players thatlove to be a castercan still make this weapon work in a group, by having their other option be the Wand & Tome. This will allow for clearing smaller enemies, and buffing allies for bigger ones. Solo players, on the other hand, will want their other weapon choice to be Sword & Shield for higher survivability — or the Dagger for their focus on critical hit damage and repositioning themselves.
6Greatsword
Point Blank Melee Destroyer
There are two kinds of frontliners: those that can tank damage to outlast their opponents, and those that deal such massive damage that their opponent is defeated before they are. The Greatsword is perfect for the former of the two options, with players charging in and just decimating their opponents point-blank like anElden Ringstrength build.
Players that want to play PvE and PvP with a mighty melee play style will enjoy what this weapon brings to the table. Having the Dagger as their second weapon choice can raise their critical hit damage and make this even more effective.
5Dagger
Mobility & Critical Damage Builds
If a player wants to add some more mobility or make a build that has a high focus on critical hits, they will want to familiarize themselves with the Dagger inThrone and Liberty. Players will dive into battle to deal a lot of damage, and then disengage to stay alive — rinse and repeat.
This is the go-to weapon for those wanting a playstyle akin to that of a rogueor an assassin. Players may find themselves experimenting with this weapon quite a lot. They might choose to drop it for something they feel might work better, then return to try again.
4Sword & Shield
Melee & High Survivability
This is the weapon of choice for players who love to be right up in the action while also being a team player. It does not offer as much damage output as other weapons, but it can outlast opponents that would have defeated a player if they had anything else equipped.
Even though this weapon is a great choice for teamwork, it is also an amazing solo player choice due to how much survivability it offers. Players that find themselves too squishy can raise their survivability by making this one of their weapon options.
3Crossbow
High Damage At Long Range
The combination of the Crossbow and the Wand & Tome weapon is everything a long-range player could want in a character. The crossbow allows players to dispatch both single targets and groups of enemies at a safe distance, making it a high-survivability weapon whenever a player has allies to soak up the aggro.
Using the Wand & Tome can debuff enemies, but using the Dagger can provide a ton of mobility and increase damage. Both of these pairings for the Crossbow work well in groups and for solo players wanting to use a ranged character.
2Longbow
Makes Everything Else Better
Whatever a player feels they are lacking, the Longbow will resolve. It provides high damage at a distance, just like crossbows, but it brings so much more to whatever other weapon the player is using. Paring this weapon with Daggers can make one’s damage numbers seem higher than anything else they can pair together, and it can make a player far more mobile.
When a player does take damage, they can use this weapon to heal themselves. When paired with the Wand & Tome, players have the mosthealing optionsin the entire game. This weapon takes any playstyle and can make it better.
1Wand & Tome
It Does Everything
When players read that this is the “Healer’s choice” for a weapon, they might brush it off as something that’s only for support players. While this weapon will provide plenty of healing and debuffs to help allies, pairing it with the Sword & Shield can make a player feel like a paladin.
Both of these weapons raise survivability by allowing players to debuff and use crowd control on enemies from a distance, pull out a Sword & Shield when they get in close, heal up any damage they take, and stand victorious. The Wand & Tome allows players to go through the game on their own, or be a vital part of any team late into the game. There is no going wrong with this weapon.
