Not only does it give gamers the tools to play in just about any way they want and find success, it also allows the freedom for things to go horribly wrong, too. This can result in some hilarious moments that feel completely natural throughout a playthrough of the game. For example, there was theBaldur’s Gate 3player who found a way to summon a huge army to cheese Honour Mode. It’s awesome to see how much freedom players have in this regard, even if it doesn’t always work out in their favor.

Redditor DoomWad shared the hilarious clip, which begins with the player speaking to Withers at camp. They’ve clearly been through the wars - Shadowheart is downed, Wyll and Gale are dead, and they themselves are on 1HP. When attempting to bring them back to life, Withers gives the player a warning, saying, “I recommend keeping thy distance for a moment.” The player doesn’t move, and is killed by the respawning companions, giving them a Game Over screen and forcing a save reload. It’s a funny moment of instant regret, with many in the thread pointing out that DoomWad was lucky they weren’t playingBaldur’s Gate 3’s Honour Mode.
