Summary
Along with an entirely new map to explore,a host of hardcore bosses to take down, and plenty more, players also have 30 new armor sets to try out inShadow of the Erdtree. These new items of armor inElden Ringcan only be found in the Land of Shadows, but players can take them back to the Lands Between to complete their journey or challenge themselves with New Game+.
Armor sets forShadow of the Erdtreecome in a wide variety of shapes and sizes, with a fairly even spread of light, medium, and heavy armor. While some sets offer bonuses for each piece worn, others simply have great defensive stats, providing resistances to all the deadly ailments Tarnished must face.

If players want armor that is fairly light but still durable, then the Oathseeker Knight Set is a great option and one of the best armor sets inShadow of the Erdtree. It also happens to be one of the best looking and comes with great stats for Immunity and Robustness in particular.
The Oathseeker Knight Set is thankfully easy to find, with players simply needing to reach the Church of Benediction, with the armor found just beyond on a hanging body. This church is southwest ofthe Gravesite Plain.

If players have ever wanted to look like Sauron fromLord of the Ringswhile playingElden Ring, the Night Set, or its helmet at least, is the way to go. Thankfully, beyond aesthetics, the armor set also happens to be very strong in defenses, while being incredibly light.
To acquire the Night Set, players will need to locate a large underground area known as the Bonny Gaol. This can be accessed by heading across a bridge to the south of the Bonny Village inthe southern part of the Scadu Altus. Once inside the Gaol, players should then use the lift to at first descend, but by jumping on it again it will reset and take them to the highest part of the Gaol. Here the armor is found on a corpse.

If players don’t like taking damage and still want to look great while absorbing blows, then the Solitude Set is perfect for them. Thisextremely heavy armorprovides more than adequate damage negation and has some truly astounding numbers when it comes to resistances. For example, it provides 115 Focus and 235 Focus.
Another aspect that makes the Solitude Set great is that it can be acquired right at the start of the DLC by heading left to the Western Nameless Mausoleum. Here players will have to beat the Blackgaol Knight, but with a Stake of Marika just outside, they can give this boss as many tries as they like.

One of the best DLC armor sets is the Death Knight Set, which not only has high defenses across the board and high Poise but also enhances any skills and incantations of the Ancient Dragon Cult. For each piece worn, players will receive a 2% boost, which equals out to 8% if the full set is worn. As some of thebest new incantations from the DLCare from the Dragon Cult, this is certainly a good build to try out.
To don the Death Knight Set, players will need to find the Darklight Catacombs, where there is a Dark Knight corpse from which the armor can be taken. To find the catacombs, players will need to take a secret path through the Shadow Keep.

For players who only care about dealing more damage, the Rakshasa Set is arguably the best in the game, but at a cost. This is because for each piece worn, the player will deal an extra 2% damage, while also taking more damage. This makes it perfect for skilled players who have mastered dodging, parrying, and the timing of bosses.
The armor, alongsideRakshasa’s Great Katana, isdropped by Rakshasa in the Eastern Nameless Mausoleum. To get here, players will first need to find the teleport coffin in the Shadow Keep. Once at the Ruins of Unte, they must then travel downstream before jumping down to the Mausoleum. One ofthe best Talismans for exploring, the Longtail Cat Talisman can help with this last step as it prevents fall damage.
