The Marvel Cinematic Universe is ever-expanding. With thousands of characters from Thousands of different universes, Marvel has an endless sea of characters to choose from when structuring their following roster for their current phase of movies. Fans have seen all sorts of characters take to the silver screen and be portrayed admirably as members of the world’s mightiest heroes.
However, there are still a polarizing amount of characters that have not seen their day in the spotlight that would make wonderful installments into the universe as either cameos or new permanent additions to the Avengers team. With Captain America and Ironman leaving big shoes to fill, there are some powerhouse characters that veteran fans would love to see, and new fans would fall in love with instantly. Here are some of the best Avengers that have not been in a movie.
9Luke Cage
The Man With Unbreakable Skin
Luke Cagedidn’t start out as an Avenger. Still, his tenacity and noble persona quickly rose him through the ranks of numerous hero teams until he found his station alongside Captain America, Black Widow, and Ironman. He appeared on the Avengers team for the first time in the New Avengers when he was one of several heroes drafted during a deadly riot in the supervillain prison, R.A.F.T.
While Luke Cage has been portrayed in his own television series, the bulletproof powerhouse has yet to step foot into the main roster. Arguably, Cage would be an excellent addition that many fans want to see portrayed by Terry Crews or Dwayne The Rock Johnson.
8Ares
The God Of War
There have been many gods who step down from their throne of divinity and join the Avengers, finding a greater calling in walking among the beings they look down on. Along with Thor and Hercules, Ares joined the Avengers at one point and found himself becoming quite attached to the team.
Formally being a deadly adversary of the Avengers, once turning the other cheek, Ares became one of the mightiest heroes, even though he has a morally great personality. It would be a great treat for Ares to make his debut on the next Avengers team or even appear on the Dark Avengers team further down the line.

Jessica Drew, also known as Spider-Woman, has a long and versatile history in the Marvel universe, being a member of S.H.I.E.L.D., S.W.O.R.D., and finally, the Avengers. As such, she has worked on the frontline of numerous conflicts and rubbed shoulders with some of the greatest Marvel heroes in the comics.
She has stood out among other heroes for her intellect and adaptability and earned a spot on the roster for her skill and commitment. With Secret Wars announced as the next highly anticipated film in the MCU, Jessica Drew is a vital part of the series and would be an incredible sight.
6Quasar
A Cosmic level Hero Who Protects Entire Universes
Quasar is not as well known as some of his peers on this list, but he has been a mighty pillar in Marvel Comics for some time. Wielding the power of cosmic, Quasar initially succeeded Captain Marvel and was the protector of the universe but has been a part of several teams across the stars, even becoming an Avenger after all Avengers teams were merged by Captain America.
Quasar would be a terrific fit for the upcoming threats set for the Marvel Universe, and his inclusion would even be a great way to introduce one of the most popular Marvel Comics storylines,Annihilation.
5Song Bird
A Budding Hero With A Checkered Past
Songbird is a unique individual when it comes to the best heroes in Marvel, as she started out as a villain with sonic powers. With little direction, she was drafted into the Thunderbolts team, led by Barron Zemo. Quickly taking to hero work better than being a menace, Songbird grew attached to heroism and slowly redefined who she was as a person.
She became an Avenger after Sunspot took over A.I.M. and stationed a team of his own. Songbird has garnered quite a bit of popularity, being a beloved character with many layers to her background that make her stand out. Hopefully, with a different take on theThunderboltsslated for cinematic release, Songbird will make her first appearance on the big screen.

Quake’s story differs from most Avenger members as she is originally an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. who was tasked with covert missions during the Secret War. Daisy Johnson is a mutant with geo-kinetic powers who was chosen for her high-level intelligence and connection to My Hyde, a supervillain.
Daisy made herself noticed by Captain America, who drafted her into the Avengers, and she has been in highly difficult fights with the team, doing more than holding her own. While Quake’s character made a debut on thetelevision seriesAgents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., she has not yet joined the silver screen lineup.
3Sam Alexander
An Intergalactic Hero In High School
Sam is the son of a Nova Centurion who left his helmet to him after falling in battle. Sam was given the helmet by Gamora and Rocket Raccoon and instantly decided to follow in his father’s footsteps, becoming the next terrain, Nova Centurion. Sam quickly took to his new abilities with all the imagination a kid should but threw himself into the hero business quickly.
Through a lot of trial and error, Sam finally measured up to his potential and was offered membership into the Avengers after bringing a warning of the Phoenix Force heading toward Earth. Sam Alexander would be a great addition to the string ofyoung Avengers projectsthat have been making their way into the big screen of the MCU.

A Living Breathing Sun With A Cape
The Sentry is a longstanding request in the Marvel Cinematic, as thousands of fans wish to see the most powerful Avenger on the big screen. Said to possess the power of one million exploding suns, the Sentry is the most respected and feared hero on the Avengers' roster.
Within the Sentry lies a dark power that can be brought to the surface depending on the Sentry’s mental state, which could spell disaster for all of the universe. Being a product of a defunct super soldier serum, Sentry would make a great addition to the MCU in any of the upcoming projects.
1Blue Marvel
Can Grip The Cosmos With His Bare Hands
Blue Marvel has become one of the most dominating forces of nature in the Marvel universe and is a highly requested addition to the future phases of the MCU. Adam Brashear is an enhanced human with the ability to manipulate gravity; he was a Silver Age hero who was pushed out by racial disparity.
Many years after hanging up his cape, he stepped back into the light as an Avenger seeking to stop Anti-Man and save the world. Blue Marvel has an extensive history, and with callbacks to the early years of heroes like Isaiah Bradley, Blue Marvel would be a welcomed appearance in the upcoming Brave New World Captain America film.
