Wolverine: The Jungle Adventuremight not be the best Wolverine story out there, but it has enough pulp to provide readers with a fun time for a one-shot, and it could easily be a fun adaptation for a movie. As the MCU further embraces the weirder side of comics, it’s a great time to introduce the Savage Land, an oasis of lush jungles of lost tribes and dinosaurs, whereWolverine can act as its greatest hunter.
Having Wolverine explore these lands as a solo adventure helps to provide more context to his character, and can also be a prelude to the dreaded Mutant villain, Apocalypse, since he takes center stage here. Besides, who wouldn’t want to see Wolverine fight a dinosaur?
6Wolverine vs. The Hulk
Legendary Rivals Fight As An Iconic Origin
The introduction of Wolverine into the Marvel Universe occurred when the world’s first and greatest Canadian superhero battled it out with the Hulk inThe Incredible Hulk#181. Yet, after years of fleshing out the character, a rematch was going to be inevitable, which is whyIncredible Hulk#340 is the perfect place to look for a potential Wolverine movie.
Not only would it be great to seeWolverine fight the green and mean Hulk, but it would be poetic to see the two characters ignite a fierce and endlessly immortal and violent battle, especially since that’s how Wolverine got his origins. The Hulk definitely needs further improvements in the MCU, so pairing him with Wolverine and giving them a violent scrap is a must.

A Brainwashed Wolverine Battles Heroes And Villains Alike
As the most dangerous X-Men member out there, Wolverine isn’t shy to do the dirty deed of digging his claws into those who need killing. These violent and primal tendencies could lead to something interesting, especially if Wolverine is brainwashed into committing acts others would see as diabolical. Audiences who have seenDeadpool & Wolverineknow that Wolverine’s murderous streak feels good, so why not indulge in more from another timeline?
Enemy of the Stateseems like the perfect way to bring the deadly Wolverine into the Sacred Timeline. Having Wolverine go through the Marvel Cinematic Universe, fighting friends, foes, and other famed heroes whilst attempting to undo the brainwashing could see further R-rated violent streaks the MCU needs.
4Secret Wars
The Multiverse Collapses, Requiring Heroes All Over To Lend A Hand
Secret Warsis iconic for Marvel and acts as their first crossover event for all of their heroes and villains.Secret Warshas always been the perfect concept for anAvengersmovie, and recent ideas have floated around with modern iterations of Secret Wars, providing the MCU with a perfect opportunity for a reboot where the Fantastic Four, X-Men, Avengers, and Spider-Man can all exist in the same timeline with little confusion.
Since the Multiverse has to be involved, andSecret Warsis confirmed to hit the MCU in 2027, it’s the perfect opportunity to bring back Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine, and even have him interact with Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man. Wolverine’s part in the comic versions ofSecret Warsisn’t as important as Doctor Doom, but the MCU can certainly change that.
3Kitty Pryde & Wolverine
A Duo Story Of Assassins And Growth
Wolverine has already received plenty of screen time, and his popularity continues to ascend. However, the introduction of his relationship with Kitty Pryde could help to put the spotlight on other Mutant characters, by using Wolverine as a duo partner, much like howDeadpool & Wolverinefeatured two different characters bouncing off of each other.
Thedynamic between Kitty Pryde and Wolverineis a fun one, and the stories involved help to explore Kitty’s powers and personal growth, whilst also having the violent streak and tenderness of a vulnerable Wolverine in his adopted home of Japan.
2Uncanny X-Force
Wolverine Forms A Deadly Black Ops Unit Of Mutants
It might be a bit of a leap to jump into the X-Force, especially when the MCU hasn’t even introduced the X-Men. Yet, the idea that the X-Men have been around this entire time, and Wolverine leads a black ops unit of Mutants known as the X-Force could make for some great storytelling, especially in an R-rated movie or seriesfeaturing Wolverine and Deadpool.
It would be amazing to see Wolverine and Deadpool reunite thanks to their electric chemistry and violence. However, what makesUncanny X-Forcean interesting concept is how Deadpool is the voice of reason and the heart of the group, leading to some violent confrontations between the two as they attempt to do what the X-Men can’t.
Wolverine’s Past Sees Him Vulnerable And Hunted
A character who has been alive for over two hundred years, it’s no surprise that Wolverine has few friends and many enemies. When Logan reunites with a supposed Scottish old friend, he finds himself in the midst of a revenge plot, one far too deadly and dangerous to involve the other X-Men. It provides the perfect excuse for a solo Wolverine movie without the X-Men and shows a vulnerable Wolverine whoreconnects with old facesof guilt and kinship.
In this story, Wolverine has become the hunted as the White Ghost, an assassin named McLeish, uses adamantium traps and bombs to try and rid the world of this Mutant once and for all. A story of Logan on the run on a classic 90s romp of revenge could be what the character needs without the wider universe of Marvel characters out there.
