Ubisoft’sXDefiantoffers fast-paced action, blending a simple yet fluid arena shooter experience with many of Ubisoft’s other IPs. While players may spend most of their timeswitching between different Factions to find the best one, optimizing their loadout is another important factor. This is especially true when it comes to weapon options like the M4A1.

The M4A1 is on the lower end of the meta when compared to otherAssault Rifles like the ACR 6.8and the AK-47. Though it boasts a decently high fire rate and a fast ADS time, the M4A1 suffers in terms of sheer firepower. However, with the right builds, players can turn the M4A1 into a viable weapon. Here arethe best loadouts for the M4A1 inXDefiant!

Best M4A1 Loadout For Low-Level Players

M4A1 Attachments:

Struggling tolevel up your weapon fast inXDefiant? Then this M4A1 loadout is for you. The build aboveutilizes attachments obtained at levels 1 through 11, making it an optimal build to use while grinding the game for better attachments. Though not necessarily anything special, this build doesprovide a nice buff to ADS speed, improving the ADS speed reduction down from 267 milliseconds to 227 milliseconds. This build also provides a stealth aspect to it as well, reducing the player’s visibility on the mapconsiderably when firing their weapons.

Another benefit this build provides is itsincreased reload speed, which is brought down to 1.9 seconds as opposed to the standard 2.2 seconds.5 Rounds have also been added to each magazine, which can come in handy for providing an additional few shots to take down opponents. While this build does do little to improve the weapon’s low overall TTK, players can pair this withthe Cleaner Factionfor an added damage buff. For the Secondary, any option will do.

Versatile M4A1 Loadout For Most Combat Scenarios

This alternative build for the M4A1 excels at making it a much more viable weapon to use for most combat scenarios. The first and most important attachment players will want to equip for this build is theMuzzle Booster, which increases the rate of fire from 725 RPM to 745 RPM. Thisboosts the overall TTK of the M4A1and works especially well when combined with theChrome-Lined Barrel to enhance the damage range. Although this build will not outgunweapons like the MP7at close range, it has the edge at medium and long ranges.

Another great benefit of this build is theincreased magazine size of 15 rounds, which complements the weapon’s faster fire rate. This allows players to have some bullets left over after gunning down an opponent, ready for the next fight if the situation arises. While ADS speed has been slightly reduced, the Superlight Grip has been introduced tokeeping ADS speed close to baseline levels. Similarly, both horizontal and vertical recoil control have taken a hit, but the weapon is still relatively easy to control when firing across ranges. For a good secondary option, any weapon will do, with many players’favorite secondary option being the 93R.

High TTK M4A1 Loadout For Close-Range Gunfights

This finalXDefiantM4A1 build will generally be the most favored for game modes like Domination, Occupy, and Hot Shot. The attachments listed above aim todrastically boost the overall TTK of the M4A1, as the base weapon is considerably weak compared to the ACR 6.8 andthe excellent AK-47. The standout attachments for this build are theMuzzle Boosterand theRapid Fire Barrel, whichprovide a 7.5% increase in fire rate, boosting the M4A1’s DPS. Though recoil control is impacted pretty heavily, the weapon is relatively easy to control up close, which is where this build truly shines.

Another standout attachment is thePistol Grip. While most players may opt for the Superlight Grip for its boost in ADS speed, the M4A1 already sports a fairly high ADS speed by default, and it has already been further improved with theQuick Draw Grip. Opting for the Pistol Grip, on the other hand, provides a10% boost in sprint-to-shoot time, allowing players to fire much faster when sprinting around corners and other areas where they may run into enemies. Of course, to counter the high fire rate, theExtended Magis also advised, which will prevent players from running an optic. However, the iron sights are pretty neat to use up close, so the exclusion of an optic isn’t a huge downside. For agood secondary option, close-range Pistols like the93Rare an ideal choice.
