Summary

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is an enormous creation that has released countless epic adventures of righteous superheroes taking on making villains who seek world domination, cataclysmic balance, or destruction in its purest form. Fans have journeyed alongside Marvel’s fifteen-year cinematic run and followed classic heroes like Ironman, Captain America, Black Widow, and Thor through perilous events both alone and united.

Each hero has faced some of the worst villains, both those who hold personal vendettas and those whose sinister deeds target a larger scale. However, Marvel still has a vast pool of villains to choose from for all of the upcoming projects in the next phase. Here are some of the best Marvel villains who have not been in a movie.

Galactus about to devour a planet

8Galactus

Celestial Level Threat

Galactus is possibly the most famous villain in the Marvel Comics universe. The gargantuan celestial devourer of worlds has roamed throughout the universe for eons, laying waste to anything in his past. In terms of threats, none get bigger than Galactus himself, as it always takes a combined effort to thwart his evil plans.

While Galactus is considered to have been in previous superhero movies, he has never been seen as a character, only an unseen force. As a stapleFantastic Fourvillain, and with theFantastic Fourmovie on the horizon in the upcoming phase of Marvel films, hopefully, fans will finally see a faithful rendition of the character in all his terrifying glory.

x-men 97 episode 6 deathbird

7Deathbird

Leader Of An Alien Armada

Deathbird is an interesting character in the Marvel universe who belongs to an ancient and powerful alien race that rules over a faraway galaxy called the Shiar Empire.

Recently, she appeared in the highly praisedX-Men 97animated series but has not been brought into the live-action version of the MCU or any other installment of the live-actionX-Men. However, with the recent slate of Marvel films venturing into the stars, a ruthless ruler of an intergalactic empire and a powerful foe like Deathbird would be a tremendous looming threat for a possible firstX-Menfilm.

6Onslaught

Omnipotent Psychic Entity

Onslaught is a unique villain, to say the least, but it is also one of the most powerful in all of Marvel Comics. Onslaught is the culmination of Magneto and Charles Xaivier’s merging of minds. This merge birthed an unstoppable force gifted with unimaginable power that no single being, hero or otherwise, can defeat.

Onslaught has wreaked havoc in the Marvel universe, slaying most of the heroes and only being able to be opposed by the likes of Franklin Richards. While the X-Men have still not seen their MCU debut, Onslaught would be a terrific Thanos level being for them to encounter.

Spiral marvel comics

5Spiral

Cyber-Enhanced Spellcaster

Spiral is probably one of the most well-known B-level villains in Marvel history. With a perfectly unique design, Spiral has primarily served as a henchman-type villain against the X-Men. Cybernetically changed by the villain Mojo, Spiral was turned into a four-armed sword user with magic-focused abilities.

On any battlefield, she was an enormous threat and even took on multiple Avengers simultaneously. Spiral is usually anX-Menvillain but could be very flexible in her debut and take on the Guardians of the Galaxy, the Fantastic Four, or even Ant-Man and the Wasp.

hyperion marvel comics

4King Hyperion

An Unstoppable Force Of Nature

In the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there have been multiple universe-level threats that attempted to conquer or destroy. At the top of the list is the mad titan, Thanos, who left behind big shoes to fill. Enter King Hyperion, the perfect multiversal threat to place against the Avengers. Coming from an alternate world, based on the hero Hyperion, King Hyperion is a twisted madman who only seeks to destroy and control everything.

Gifted with flight, hyper regeneration, and callosal strength, Hyperion would be a perfect first big-bad for the new Avengers team. In the comics, Hyperion went from universe to universe, hunting and slaying anyone who opposed him, leaving entire galaxies in his wake. With the new roster having some heavy hitters like Thor and Captain Marvel, Hyperion has just the amount of power to give them a run for their money.

vapor marvel comics

3Vapor

A Ruthless Threat With No Remorse

Vapor is an enhanced individual who can alter her state of being and turn into gas of multiple different types, from toxic fumes to psychedelic aromas. In the comics, Vapor has always found herself on the wrong side of the law, joining multiple supervillain teams and facing off against the Avengers constantly.

Vapor has taken down several top-tier contenders likethe Hulk, Prodigy, and Captain America. Vapor would make a perfect villain for Sam’s rogue gallery as he steps into the role of Captain America or as one of the foes of the Thunderboltz.

Madame Masque fires a gun

2Madam Masque

A Master Manipulator

Madam Masque is a character with a much more complicated history than most villains in the Marvel universe, known for her intellect and crafty schemes. Being a second-generation villain, Masque is the daughter of Count Nefari, and because of her hatred for him, she carries out sinister plots to take him out, which places her at odds with numerous heroes.

Specifically, Masque has a rivalry withKate Bishop, which would make an excellent opportunity to tap both characters for a big-screen debut. The character did make an appearance in theAgent Cartertelevision seriesbut was vastly different from her comic-book counterpart. The same character could be tapped in, or the power that is in the MCU could reboot the character completely.

Annihilus

1Annihilus

A Plague Of Galactic Proportions

Annihilus was created when the last survivors of a dying world crashed during intergalactic travel. In a last-ditch effort to save their race, they released spores, hoping they would take root and survive. One of these spores birthed Annihilus, a highly intelligent insect-like being.

Cold and calculated, Annihilus obtained more information about his lost race and harnessed their technology, using it to conquer the universe he resided in. Further, he garnered an army and caught out to conquer or destroy anything that could be presumed as a threat, like a plague. Annihilus is mainly a threat to the Nova core but has also had run-ins withThe Fantastic Four.
