However, this simple yet authentic garb is quite useful for players who may find themselves running low on Stamina at this stage of the game, while also providing decent Chill resistance. The Ginseng Cape moderately boosts maximum Stamina for a short duration after drinking from any Gourd, allowing players to jump back into the fight not only healed but also refreshed.
To obtain the Ginseng Cape, players must reach Chapter Three: White Snow, Ice Cold, and defeat the Old Ginseng Guai mini-boss. The closest Keeper’s Shrine is Valley of Ecstasy – Forest of Felicity, and the boss is fairly simple to defeat for such a valuable reward.
5Loongscale Battlerobe
A Perfect Fit For Thunder Damage Monkey Builds
TheLoongscale Battlerobeis a beautiful and elegant chest armor piece, ideal for Destined Ones who prioritize Thunder damage, such as when using the charged Kang-Jin Staff. With the Loongscale Battlerobe equipped, this explosioninflicts Thunder Baneon enemies, dealing additional damage while also staggering and interrupting them.
The Loongscale Battlerobe, along with the rest of its three-piece set, can be crafted after the Destined One defeats the Kang-Jin Star boss, located at Bitter Lake in Chapter Three. However, this fight is particularly challenging, as Kang-Jin Star utilizes fast, hard-hitting Thunder and Lightning attacks.

Despite theSerpentscale Battlerobebeing one of the first chest armors players can obtain inBlack Myth: Wukong, it remains relevant throughout the entire journey and gains new special effects when upgraded to Mythical quality. This armor is especially useful for combat encounters in water, of which there are many, including the final fightagainst the mighty Great Sage’s Broken Shell. The Serpentscale Battlerobe recovers a small amount of HP, and its healing effect is enhanced in water. When upgraded, it also significantly boosts the damage dealt by light attack combo finishers when fighting in water.
The entire Serpentscale Set can be crafted as early as Chapter One: Black Cloud, Red Fire, though players must firstdefeat the two-phase Whiteclad Noble boss. The closest Keeper’s Shrine is Bamboo Grove - Marsh of White Mist, where the Destined One must prepare for the first true test of his skills.

The Yin-Yang Daoist Robe is automatically obtained in Chapter Five: Golden Child, Crimson Blood. Players need only progress through the story from the Furnace Valley Entrance - The Emerald Hall Keeper’s Shrine to receive this chest piece.

Ideal for poison builds inBlack Myth: Wukong, this armor boosts Poison resistance and significantly increases the damage dealt by Poison-inflicting attacks. Its standout design, featuring intricate armor plates and spikes, adds to its visual appeal.
Players aiming to craft the final piece of the Insect Set (available after defeating the Fuban secret boss) will need to explore the secret area in Chapter Four, Purple Cloud Mountain, carefully. To craft the Venomous Sting Insect Armor, the Destined One requires a unique crafting component Deathstinger dropped only bythe Scorpionlord, one of the game’s toughest bosses. This challenging foe can be found near the Bounds of Deity’s Adobe Keeper’s Shrine. Players must defeat the Scorpionlord before facing Duskveil, as failing to do so will prevent them from obtaining the component needed to craft this armor until the next playthrough.
