Like many games with Soulslike elements, thebosses inBlack Myth: Wukongare arguably the main attraction. It boasts over 80 bosses and minibosses in total, each bringing a unique challenge to the table. All the game’s bosses have their own attack patterns, which players must learn to defeat these enemies in combat. It’s similar to titles such asElden Ringin that multiple deaths are simply part of the learning experience. This requires tons of patience but makes for an immensely satisfying experience for those willing to commit to beating these bosses. However, players haven’t taken long to figure out the quickest way of taking down some of these bosses.

This boss has been givingBlack Myth: Wukongplayers a lot of trouble in the early-game, which is why it’s surprising to see it beaten so easily. Black Myth: Wukong’s Wandering Wight Defeated in One Hit

Looking at the build, it’s clear that this is New Game+. Their Gourd is upgraded, they have multiple Focus Points, and they get a big damage boost from a Spirit transformation. However, the main giveaway is that they’re using a powerfulBlack Myth: WukongReliccalled Freed Mind. This has an ability called Unified Minds, which allows Sun Wukong’s Duplicates to copy the player’s attack in combat. This is how they’re able to defeat the Wandering Wight in one hit - as well as their damage buffs, they’re also benefitting from the damage from the Heavy Attack being multiplied multiple times from the Duplicates. It’s such a creative way to deal tons of damage, and could certainly work against other bosses, too.

It’s great to see a game that has clearly had a ton of love and dedication poured into its creation succeed in such an emphatic fashion, and it’ll be interesting to see what Game Science has up its sleeve next forBlack Myth: Wukong.
