Black Myth: Wukonggives players many different systems toupgrade their character’s base statsalong with what they can do in combat. While additional options and attacks are useful, it’s just as important to upgrade your base stats to survive the various challenges thrown your way.
While using and respecing in the skill trees can be a straightforward process to get stronger, Mind Cores can also be found and used to increase your base stats. Mind Cores can also be respeced as often as the player would like, giving even more freedom to try new builds to find the perfect one.
How To Find & Use Mind Cores
Mind Coresare rare items that offer great buffs, leading to them being fairly rare. The two main methods for finding Mind Cores are bydefeating bosses and purchasing them from Shrine Stores. Shrine Stores have limited stock that is different from chapter to chapter. Not every boss drops Mind Cores, but usually, the major bosses from each Chapter do. Mind Cores also can be found in various chests throughout the world, and will become much more common in this methodin later chapters.
Once you have some Mind Cores to spend, find Xu Dog who isused to craft medicine. His icon will appear next to the Shrine he is closest to in that chapter, such as the Cellar in Chapter 2. Talk to him and selectMake Medicines, then choose Celestial Medicines. Any of these Medicines can be purchased using Mind Cores to give a boost in stats shown on the right side of the screen.
How To Respec Mind Cores
Should you decide you don’t like how your Mind Cores were spent, choose the,“Remake Celestial Medicines” option with Xu Dogto have him refund all your currently spent Mind Cores, justlike you can do with Sparks. This will return all your Mind Cores and let them be spent in whatever stats you want.
What Stats Can Be Upgraded
There are nine total stats that can be upgraded, each with only a limited number of possible upgrades all listed below.
