Boruto: Two Blue Vortexchapter 13 dropped recently, and it is safe to say that in terms of story writing, this chapter excites as one of the deepest in the new series. Fans found out quite a lot of interesting details about the life of Boruto Uzumaki in the chapter, along with other characters that fans have wanted to know years now, such as Kashin Koji. This chapter sets up an even bigger and more exciting encounter for the future of the story, and at the same time, it provides fans with a massive reason to stick around, because things are only now getting heated up.
The plan to destroy the world has been revealed, and the way to counter it is also now on the table. It is up to Boruto Uzumaki and all his friends to verify that the world is saved.
Jura’s Attack On Boruto Is Stopped By Mamaushi

Fans knew that a confrontation between Boruto and Jura was bound to happen at some point, but, it was essentially stopped, simply because Jura did not want to kill Boruto. Although he could have done it easily, he was interrupted by Mamushi, who mentioned that Matsuri had essentially completed the task and he was asked to return now. At the same time, he wanted to see Hidari return after his death as well, which made things all the more exciting, given that Boruto Uzumaki got a second shot at life, and Jura simply showed a taste of what he could do on the battlefield. This was somewhat disappointing of an end to this conflict, but fans knew that this battle would not be an all-out one, especially because a battle could simply not be fought bythese monstrously powerful individuals inside Konoha.That would have led to the destruction of the village, and it simply would not have made sense.

Even if one speaks of taking the battle outside, it would have been very repetitive, given that Boruto and all the other shinobi already escaped Konoha once in order to avoid large-scale destruction. Then, they ended up back in the village after a short period of time, and now, doing the same thing all over again would simply have been redundant. As such, this battle needed to end here and give a much-needed intermission to the story.
This battle was also broken up perfectly by a flashback between Boruto and Kashin Koji, which fans have been waiting months for. Now, fans have finally received an explanation as to how Boruto Uzumaki and Kashin Koji met, how they trained, and why Boruto Uzumaki is as strong as he is.

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13, fans got to see a Boruto and Kashin Koji flashback, and got to see the aftermath of Sasuke falling to the Claw Grimes. Essentially, Boruto was not ready or strong enough to fight against the plethora of Shinobi surrounding him. He did not want to use the power of the Karma, which meant that he was on his own and very much defeatable. Boruto had his back turned against a wall and would simply have been arrested and taken into questioning, but, at the right place, Kashin Koji popped up. Using his scientific ninja toad, he asked Boruto to place his hand on his back, and hesitantly, he did so. Kashin Koji showcased his reverse summoning, bringing him to one of Orochimaru’s old hideouts. There, Kashin Koji and Boruto had an exciting meeting, where Koji revealed his purpose of destroying Isshiki, given to him by Amado, and at the same time, the reason why he clung to life.
More importantly, Kashin Koji revealed more information about the power of Shinjutsuthat stemmed from Shibai Otsutsuki. This legendary figure used to live on planet Earth a long time ago. He ate so many chakra fruits that he essentially evolved to godhood, leaving behind his mortal remains. These mortal remains were used by Amado later, and the cells from him were injected into the body of the Kara Inners. Of course, not all of them would receive abilities from Shibai, but some would get his powerful Shinjutsu. Eida gained Omnipotence, while Daemon gained the reflection power. Code’s Claw Marks also are sourced from the same person, while Delta, Boro, and Koji were not given any ability.
However, moments before his death, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13 showcased Kashin Koji awakening a unique Shinjutsu known as Prescience. Essentially, it gave him the ability to see the future, both immediate and far. At the same time, Koji mentions that he has the power to change the future by acting in a way where a potential future can be avoided. Kashin Koji can also see multiple futures, because the future itself is not linear. There are many things that happen that can alter a particular future, and that is the best part of having the ability to see it in the first place.
Kashin Koji also introduced Boruto to the idea of the Shinju in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter 13, and this also explains how he knew about the Thorn Soul Bulb. Fans also finally got an explanation as to how Boruto Uzumaki became incredibly strong. Essentially, Kashin Koji saw all the future timelines possible for Boruto, and made a list of the jutsu he learned in the future, helping his current self to speed up the process of evolution and making him incredibly strong.

Kashin Koji’s message simply ended with a warning for Boruto about the fate of the world. Essentially, the world is to be consumed by the Shinju, which means that Boruto Uzumaki will be killed as well. It is Jura who is going to kill Boruto, while Kawaki will be used as a sacrifice. At the very least, that is what most of the futures depict. To change that, Boruto and many others are actively working against the future itself and, hopefully, things will work out. For now, fans know thatthe threat of the Shinju is still there.Fans also got to see them return to their own hideout in the chapter, where Hidari was born anew using the Thorn Soul Bulb.

At the same time,Matsuri showed that another Thorn Soul Bulb was born, and a new individual emerged from it.
