Activision reveals all of the maps players can check out once theCall of Duty: Black Ops 6beta kicks off later this week. It’s a big week for fans of Treyarch’s highly anticipatedCall of Duty: Black Ops 6. The annual Call of Duty Next event brought with it tons of new information, ranging from all parts of the experience, including Zombies as well as the core multiplayer mode.
Earlier this week, fans got a good look at themultiplayer component ofCall of Duty: Black Ops 6thanks to a new trailer. The footage showed off tons of new gameplay details, including glimpses of many of the 16 launch maps, though the real star of the gameplay was the new Omnimovement system. Characters in the trailer were shown moving in all sorts of directions, jumping through windows, diving over objects, as well as avoiding both bullets and thrown weapons. Thankfully, fans won’t need to wait too much longer to experience all of these new elements for themselves as the game’s beta is right around the corner.
TheCall of Duty Next eventhad plenty of news to share with fans, including even more beta details and the content that players will be able to check out. Alengthy blog postlaid out all of the details, confirming that 6 of the maps will be available for this weekend’s first beta test. Four of the maps will be part of the Core, 6v6 activities, which include standards like Team Deathmatch, Domination, and the newly announced Kill Order. Gala and Pit are included as part of the Strike playlist which Activision calles more compact in size and work best for Face Off or 2v2 Gunfight.

During the CoD: Next event, Activision revealed the latest take on the popular Nuketown map, which has been a standard in Treyarch games for years now. Unsurprisingly, the map has seen more drastic changes, withBlack Ops 6’s Nuketown is actually known as Sandhouseand is considered a Strike map due to its smaller size. Unfortunately, players won’t be able to try it out during the beta weekends, but it will be part of the launch day roster of 16 maps.
