While it was instantly a massive success, as more players dove into the game, feedback regarding balance issues and bugs became more frequent. EA responded by outlining its promise to addchanges and fixes forCollege Football 25infuture updates.
Today, EA released a large update forCollege Football 25that adds dozens of bug fixes and adjustments to various aspects of the game. The update also brought new additions, such as eight new shotgun formations for 35 teams and several new uniform pieces. It also introduced enhanced pursuit angles, adding a new behavior that further differentiatesCollege Football 25players with higher pursuit ratingsfrom those with lower ones.
One of the patch’s changes is the rebalancing of the Gold and Platinum tiers of the Juke and Spin abilities, such as 360 and Side Step. This update may have been driven by players' complaints that athlete Quinshon Judkins wastoo overpowered inCollege Football 25due to his Platinum Tier 360 abilities, to the point where his team, the Ohio State Buckeyes, was banned in some competitive gaming communities. Running back Devin Neal, who has the Gold tier of the 360 ability, also came under fire.
While this update fixes and improves many aspects of the game, it still hasn’t added one of the changes fans have been requesting. Many players complain thatmaking substitutions inCollege Football 25is more cumbersome than it should be as the game only allows substitutions individually, impacting online matches. Fans have been asking EA to add a mass substitution feature to streamline the process.
EA has promised to continue improving and updating the game with each new season, providing necessary support and additions to keep it fresh.College Football 25has become a hit, having sold over 2.2 million Deluxe Edition copies alone judging by the number of players during its 3-day early access period. Since then, the game’s sales have only continued to climb.
