Summary

Every good hero shooter has engaging lore, but even some of the best hero shooters don’t put it front and center. Even ingames likeOverwatch 2, fans are required to watch old cinematic trailers and read novels and comics to get a thorough understanding of the universe and the lore that connects its cast. This is whereConcordstands out from its competition, with one of its shining features being its Galactic Guide.

An in-universe map that guides the Freegunner crew of the Northstar across the galaxy, the Galactic Guide isConcord’s lore bible, and it can be accessed directly from the game’s main menu. This Galactic Guide allows players to freely navigate the Concord galaxy, hovering over points of interest to receive a paragraph or two of surprisingly in-depth lore. And it’sConcord’s planets that take center stage in the Galactic Guide.

Every Planet in The Concord Galaxy Explained

Silo

The hub ofConcord’s galaxy, Silo was originally an arid wasteland before the Guild smashed a moon-sized asteroid into the planet’s surface. A mega-corporation that rules the galaxy with its monopoly over its precious resources, the Guild uses Silo as not just its base of operations, but as a message to the rest of The Wilds that it’s the dominant force in the galaxy. The message is told loud and clear by the Guild’s Spire on Silo, an incredibly tall tower that stretches from the bottom of Crater City to Silo’s orbit.

Glance

Seeminglyinspired byDune’s Arrakis,Concord’s Glance is a desert planet that’s used by the Guild to extract the Fuel Salt found in the waters of Leviathan. Though the Guild holds a great deal of power on Glance, they technically don’t rule it. That job lands on the ill-tempered Salt Lord.

Talon

A swampy planet with a slightly higher gravity than the galactic standard, Talon is the site of the Guild’s military training camps. If recruits can make it through intense military drills on Talon, then they’ll have no issue tackling threats across the rest of the galaxy.

Kallos

A planet once full of noble warriors and poets, Kallos was the site of a bloody war between the Guild and the Kallosians, which the Guild inevitably won. Now, there are only a few Kallosians left in the galaxy, andthe Freegunner Star Childis one.

Seeda

The perfect example of the Guild’s greed, Seeda was once a beautiful planet filled with majestic mountains and rock formations. Now, after years of drilling and mining, it’s a flat nothingness. TheFreegunner Rokaingested deadly toxins from working in the Guild’s mines on Seeda.

Akkar

Originally home to a species of gigantic whale-like monsters known as Vastadons Akkar has since become another resource-rich planet for the Guild to harvest. When a moon suddenly crashed into Akkar and killed its Vastadons, the Guild found that their bones could be used for an array of products, such as Universal Flavor.

Leviathan

The largest planet in the Concord galaxy, Leviathan is plagued with constant violent hurricanes and storms. But Leviathan is also a hotbed for Fuel Salt, an incredibly precious source of energy that powers starships' engines. Though its environment is absurdly hostile, its abundance of Fuel Salt makes it one of the most valuable planets in the galaxy, at least for the Guild.

Three Rings

Home to the orphanedFreegunner Haymar, Three Rings is known as “The Wilds' Fruit Basket,” with its entire planet surface being dedicated to growing all kinds of crops and fresh produce. 85% of the galaxy’s food is grown on Three Rings, though with rate of growth being prioritized, it all tastes rather bland.

Creek

An incredibly peaceful but dull planet, Creek’s environment is calm and still, and its only export is the fertilizer that fuels Three Rings' crops. Creek is home to a race of peaceful nomads, and the Freegunner Jabali once lived among them.

Havoc

The heart of the Guild’s military lies on Havoc, a planet located right next to Silo. The Guild’s military bases here are packed to the brim with high-tech and experimental weapons, such as the self-replicating mines that can be located near Leviathan.
