Discovering new creatures throughout the various ecosystems inCreatures of Avato save them will also open up new entries in your Avapedia. This feature will provide important information and quotes about the creatures, but will also bind you to complete a set of Research Tasks that will not only help you tabulate how many creatures you have saved but also invite you to friendly interaction with the different lifeforms on Ava.
While some of these tasks can be done with ease and not much preparation, some will require you to do some creature taming, have fast reflexes, and become a master photographer – especially when you need to take a picture in the middle of a confrontation. Let’s take a look at what these Research Tasks are inCreatures of Avaand how we can complete them promptly.
How to Complete Creature Research Tasks in Creatures of Ava
Research Tasks inCreatures of Avaunlock as soon as you register creatures in your Avapedia. There are six different Research Tasks that vary in complexity, and they tally in a per-creature way. That means, for example, you will have to complete all six Research Tasks for the Ura creatures as well as the Ohol creatures and so forth – amassing approximately 120 Research Tasks for the more than 20 different creatures inCreatures of Ava. Let’s talk about how to complete each of these Research Tasks.
How to Take a Photo of Healthy and Infected Creatures in Creatures of Ava
The camera is the very first item you have in your possession inCreatures of Avaand taking photos of creatures is pretty straightforward. Just aim it toward the creature and press RB to take a picture. Whenever you take a photo of a creature for the first time, you will open its entry in your Avapedia. Healthy creatures are most common at the early stages of the game, but infected creatures will give you a hard time as they are aggressive. Consider purchasing the Concentration skill to slow down time while attempting to get a picture of them.
How to Pet Creatures in Creatures of Ava
Petting creatures is the simplest of the tasks inCreatures of Ava, butyou will first have to tame the creaturesfor them to let you pet them. This is done in two different ways. If the creature isn’t infected, you will have to use the regional Flute you receive from the villagers to mimic their corresponding musical themes. If the creature is infected, just use your Nafitar staff to cleanse them from the withering infection, and they will become tamed as a thanks for helping them. Then, just get close to them and pet them when prompted.
How to Use Creature Co-op Abilities in Creatures of Ava
After taming a creature type, you can also opt to connect with them using Ava’s magic. Continue to play your flute and use LT to select a creature to connect with. Once connected, you will be able to control said creature and activate its co-op ability, which will help you open new pathways by destroying obstacles or getting on top of vine structures, for example. The co-op ability will only count as valid if it’s done by actively interacting with an obstacle or creature-specific objects.
How to Cure Creature Infection in Creatures of Ava
Curing a creature infection means that, whenever you see an infected creature, you will need to use your Nafitar staff’s beam to cleanse them from the withering infection inCreatures of Ava. At the beginning of the game, infected creatures will only require your base staff’s abilities, but you will find out that many creatures are affected by other forms of the infection, like the Yellow Witherbloom. This will require you to use a variety of spells – in the case of Yellow Witherbloom, the Krist spell – so that the infected creatures become curable.
How to Rescue Creatures in Creatures of Ava
Finally, rescuing creatures will be the most time-consuming of all the Research Tasks inCreatures of Ava. There are Rescue Robots scattered across Ava’s ecosystems that will teleport creatures from the dying planet to safety. After taming the creatures, continue playing the Flute and the creatures will follow you across the area. Guiding them toward the Rescue Robots and interacting with them will teleport them to safety. Sometimes the way toward the Rescue Robots will be blocked, so ensure to clear it using your Flute magic.
