A Marvel Comics icon, Deadpool is a character known for his explicit language, sexual innuendos, and X-rated humor. In 2019, Disney acquired the rights to Fox and its properties, includingDeadpool, and fans worried about what it might mean for future R-rated superhero films. Thankfully, Disney confirmed that not only would Deadpool be allowed to keep his explicit ratings, but he would also officially be introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) along with severalotherX-Mencharacters in the upcoming third film.

Deadpool Officially Joins Disneyland Avengers
WithDisneyland California offering discounted tickets for the summer, it may be the perfect time to book a trip to the original Disney park. At this time, Disneyland California and Disneyland Paris are the only two Disney parks to feature Avengers Campus, or any of theAvengersor MCU characters. While speculation and demand have soared for years about bringing Marvel to its other parks, Disney has made no official confirmation or hint that guests at the other parks can expect to see their favorite superheroes any time soon. While this means that only a lucky few visitors will get to meet with Deadpool, it may be an enticing opportunity for guests to visit those specific parks.
Guests visiting the Disneyland California Resort should also be aware of the ongoing union contract negotiations between Disneyland cast members and Disney officials. TheDisneyland union members voted to authorize a strikeif negotiations are not met soon, which could negatively impact guests traveling to the California park.
While Deadpool is currently only said to be available to meet for a limited time, it is possible that the parks could extend the character’s presence indefinitely or even make him a regular character in the parks. He will join other popular Avengers, such as Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Spider-Man, and Iron Man as well as other beloved antihero Loki. The characters rotate meeting times and availability, so guests never know who they might catch on a given day.
