5Tanjiro And Nezuko Vs. Rui
The Importance Of Family
Tanjiro’s first encounter with amember of the Twelve Moon Demonsdisplays just how persistent he can be, even in the face of a challenge he has never faced. Pushed against the wall, and at risk of losing Nezuko to a psychopath who hurts his “family,” Tanjiro remembered the Hinokami Kagura dance was passed down in their family for generations, alongside the Hanafuda earrings.
This breathing style was far stronger than the water breathing he used earlier, striking fear into the heart of Rui. Nezuko also had to unlock the ability to use her Blood Demon Art in order to assist Tanjiro in the battleagainst an evil stronger thanany one they had come up against so far.
4Tanjiro, Nezuko, Genya, And Mitsuri Vs. Hantengu
A Decisive Battle In The War Against Demons
This battle took placein the hidden Swordsmith Village, and it is still a wonder how Hantengu and Gyokko discovered its location. They had hoped to strike the village as they were responsible for producing the Nichirin Swords the Demon Slayers employ, effectively crippling them in their battles against Demons. Luckily, there were a handful of Demon Slayers on the ground, and they were swift to get into action when danger struck.
The battle against Hantengu was a very tricky one, because for most of the battle, they had no idea which of his annoying clones to target, and when they did, his skin was as hard as steel. He eventually escaped again, forcing Tanjiro to subconsciously activate his Demon Slayer mark to find him once more and channel its strength to slay him.
3Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko, And Tengen Vs. Daki and Gyutaro
An Encounter With An Upper Moon Demon
In addition to this battle being almost impossible to win, this battle only took place because Tanjiro and his friends refused to let Tengen take the female Demon Slayers with him on his mission and volunteered in their stead. They had to disguise themselves as women, and were assigned to pleasure housesto investigate the Upper Moon pair, who had made the red-light district their turf.
These are responsible for killing the most Hashira, and this is mainly due to the extremely arduous condition that needs to be fulfilled for them to die. Tengen and the rest really pushed themselves to the limit in order to win this battle, with Tanjiro going as far as unlocking his Demon Slayer mark just to get the added strength needed to sever Gyutaro’s head.
2Kanao And Inosuke Vs. Doma
The Price Of Success
Doma, the Upper Moon Two, prior to this battle had just defeated andconsumed the insect Hashira, Shinobu. However, this was part of the plan she and Kanao came up with, as they knew they had no chance against Doma if they were to fight him head-on. Kanao and Inosuke tried their best to keep up with Doma, but ultimately, the Upper Moon proved to be too quick for their blades.
As the battle was about to reach its climax and Doma began to easily overpower the Demon Slayers, his face began to melt off as the effects of the Wisteria poison Shinobu consumed prior to their battle began to take effect. As a result, Kanao, with the help of Inosuke, was able to decapitate the Upper Moon Two Demon.
1Tanjiro And Giyu Vs. Akaza
A Clash Of Ideals
This battle was a lot more personal than most of the other battles fought in the series. Tanjiro, fueled by the desire toavenge the Flame Hashira, whom he so dearly admired, and Akaza remembered Tanjiro, who mocked him as he fled from the rising sun on that day. It was also a clash of ideals, as Akaza believed the weak should be weeded out from the world, and Tanjiro believed it was the responsibility of those who were strong to help and aid the weak.
Tanjiro even manages to incapacitate Akaza due to his Demon Slayer mark and the abilities that come with it, but it did not mean anything, asAkaza’s headless body fought onwhile trying to regenerate a new head. He was able to overpower the two Demon Slayers and only came to a halt when the memories of his past came rushing, prompting him to remember his loved ones and commit suicide due to the atrocities he had committed with the mementos they left him.
