While it has gone through many iterations throughout the years, the Solsticealways comes back each year inDestiny 2with new loot to chase. Even for players who already got the weapons from last year, there are still plenty of reasons to go back to the EAZ and light the gigantic bonfire in the middle of the plaza.
While all of the weapons have gotten a refreshed pool of traits, there is also a new weapon for players to get in addition to that. This new weapon is a bow known as Fortunate Star. This bow has some interesting trait combinations, and here is how you can obtain it.
How to Get Fortunate Star
Just like all the other weapons from Solstice, Fortunate Star can be obtained as a dropfrom Bonfire Bash. The bigger the bonfire is at the end of the activity, the better the rewards will be. If at least 20 orbs have been thrown at the bonfire, you will get four drops along with a good amount of Silver Leaves. Depending on your luck, you might get one Fortunate Star to drop, or you could end up with four copies at once.
Fortunate Star God Roll
As far as traits go, Fortunate Star can drop with the following:
Kill Clip
Origin Traits:
There are several interesting combos available with this weapon. What can be considered a god roll will vary greatly depending on what kind of build you are using. For example, Repulsor Brace / Destabilizing Rounds would be a great combo forany void/prismatic build. In addition to that, Successful Warm-Up / Golden Tricorn is a great combination as you will be doing more damage while having a faster draw speed every time you kill something.
Outside of specific combos for builds, Hip-Fire Grip / Opening Shot would be a good roll if you wanted to try this weapon out in PvP. Alternatively, Hip-Fire Grip / Archer’s Gambit would be a suitable combination as well in PvP. All in all this weapon is better suited for PvE, but it can be useful in PvP if you don’t have anything better and wantto use a bow.
