Radical Fish Games, the studio behind the hit 2018 gameCrossCode, has revealed more details about its newest project. Originally titledProject Terra,Radical Fish Games has now officially announced the name and released a reveal trailer for theCrossCodesuccessor,Alabaster Dawn.

In 2018, Radical Fish Games released the action RPGCrossCodefor PC.CrossCodewas later released for consoles including Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in 2020. The game was set in the distant future and featured a retro-inspired art style with incredibly smooth and satisfying physics.CrossCodewas well received by players, earning several awards and currently boasting a 94% positive review rating on Steam.

CrossCode Creators Announce New Project, Alabaster Dawn

Alabaster Dawnis set to build upon the best aspects of the studio’s previous game, as the artwork, combat, and overall aesthetic of the game areincredibly similar to that ofCrossCodebut with a higher level of polish. InAlabaster Dawn,players will take on the role of Juno, the Outcast Chosen, and attempt to awaken the rest of humanity and the gods after the falling of the Shadow of Nyx. Players will have to rebuild settlements, advance science, and open new and interesting paths in the massive world around them, all while exploring the various structures and secrets scattered throughout the title to figure out where the gods have gone.

Although only the first few hours of gameplay are completed,Alabaster Dawnis set to have a public demo released in early 2025 on Steam. The game is currently available to wishlist on Steam and Radical Fish Games will have a booth at this year’s Gamescom with an updated demo ofAlabaster Dawnfor players to try out. Alongside this, Radical Fish Games is considering releasing the game in early access in late 2025, similar to what they did with the release ofCrossCode.Regardless, players will haveanother epic retro-style action RPG gameto look forward to in the near future.
