Summary
Blizzard Entertainment has rolled out a new update forDiablo 2: Resurrected, continuing its commitment to enhancing the remastered classic. Originally released in 2021,Diablo 2: Resurrectedbrought a fresh coat of paint to the iconic 2000 title, capturing the essence of the original while introducing modern graphics and quality-of-life improvements.
Diablo 2: Resurrectedfaced a challenging launch, marked by server issues and bugs that led to problems such as disappearing player characters. Since then, the developers have released several updates to address these issues and enhance the gameplay experience. Notable improvements include rebalancing classes and skills, which made previously underused builds, such as the Martial Arts Assassin and Bowazon, more viable. The introduction of a skill Hotbar and quick cast function has streamlined combat, making skill use faster and more fluid. In another update, performance was boosted with DLSS technology, which optimizes graphics and maintains frame rates, particularly for users with Nvidia GPUs.
Diablo 2: Resurrectedhas now received another significant update, Version 2.7.4, which launched Ladder Season 8 and introduced several significant fixes and improvements. Issues with the Assassin’s Blade Fury skill, which previously stopped channeling when the target monster died, have been addressed. The Dragon Tail skill now operates more consistently, resolving problems where it would intermittently consume charges or cause desynchronization. Additionally, Act 3 Mercenaries will no longer incorrectly target Ravens with Enchant, and players will no longer face failures when joining games during terror zone rotations.
In addition to gameplay improvements, theDiablo 2: Resurrectedupdate includes several user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) refinements. Notably, theDiablo 2: Resurrectedcharacterscreen tooltip for Amazon’s Lightning Bolt skill now displays accurate data, correcting previous inaccuracies. The character list will no longer re-sort itself each time the game is relaunched, though this fix currently applies only to the PC version, with a console fix expected soon.
