Along with Mulan and Mushu, The Lucky Dragon Update also brought a brand-newMajesty and Magnolias Star Path. During this event, players can undertake many fun riddles to earn awesome rewards. One of these riddles is to ‘Cast Out for Some Trout’.
With tons of fish species, fishing is a massive part of Gameloft’s life sim, and there are many duties that require you to fish. For this specific Star Path duty, you need to catch Trout. How to Cast for Some Trout in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Dreamers will have to catch Rainbow Trout for this duty since regular trout is not available in the game. So to complete this Star Path task, players need to catch a total of10 Rainbow Trouts.
Begin by opening the map and traveling toPeaceful Meadow or Forest of Valorin Dreamlight Valley. Players who have access to Eternity Isle can look for this fish in The Oasis of the Glittering Dunes.
However, if it’s your first visit, you will need to unlock one of these biomes first. Peaceful Meadow is a free biome, and players can access Forest of Valor by spending 3000 Dreamlight. The Oasis, on the other hand, costs 6,000 Mist. If you don’t have enough of these currencies, you can collect some by doingDreamlight or Mist duties.
Once you enter the biome, head to any water body and cast your line in thewhite bubbles. Keep in mind that the white ripples are the only points where Rainbow Trout spawns, so focus on those areas only. Like all fish inDDV, players will need a Fishing Rod to catch the Rainbow Trout, which you will get as part of The Royal Tools quest pretty early in your playthrough.
Keep in mind that you have to catch 10 Rainbow Trout to complete this duty. If you feel the task is too tedious, you can bring a fishing companion with you to save time and energy. You might also catch Seaweed during the process that you can later sell for 20 Star Coins at the Goofy’s Stall. If you have unlocked Moana and completed her level 2 quest,Fixing the Boat, you can simply check her boat and see if it has your desired fish.
Rainbow Trout is a main ingredient in manyDDV recipes like Rainbouillabaisse, Milky Way Stew, and Seared Rainbow Trout. Moreover, you can also sell this fish for50 Star Coins or consume it to restore 300 Energy.
