How to Start A Taste For Literature in Dreamlight Valley
Tiana can be unlocked by doing a story quest called A Taste For Literature. The quest starts when you find Remy’s Mysterious Cookbook. After updating your game, you will get a letter from Remy in your mailbox, where he mentions seeing a mysterious cookbook in the Glade of Trust.So head over to the Glade of Trust and look for the cookbook near a small pond to begin the quest.In addition to that, you will also need tounlock Moana by completing the How Far You’ll Goquest.
How to Complete A Taste For Literature in DDV
Talk to Villagers from the Memory
Picking up the cookbook will trigger the A Taste For Literature quest. Head over to Chez Remy and talk to him about the cookbook. During your chat, a memory will pop up from the book which will reveal a photo of Merlin, Moana, and Mickey with a strange Cajun dish. So now you have to find these three villagers and talk to them about this meal.
Collect the Ingredients For Mysterious Cajun Recipe
Mickey, Merlin, and Moana will share the ingredients needed for the mysterious Cajun recipe, so your next step is to collect those ingredients:
Shrimps can be caughtby fishing in the blue bubbles in the Dazzle Beach water bodies. Players can buy milk from Remy’s Pantry for 230 Star Coins. For rice, get rice seeds from Goofy’s stall in the Glade of Trust for 35 Star Coins. Plant these seeds and wait 50 minutes to harvest the rice.
You can buy onion seeds for 50 Star Coins from Goofy’s Stall located in the Forest of Valor. Then, plant the seeds and harvest after one hour and 15 minutes. Merlin will give you the Dreamlight Pepper when you talk to him.
Cook the Mysterious Cajun Recipe and Share It With Villagers
Once you have all the ingredients, go to Chez Remy and make Enchanted Shrimp Etouffee. After it’s ready, share the dish with Merlin, Moana, Mickey Mouse, and Remy. This will unlock Tiana, the frog princess, who was somehow trapped in the cookbook. We know it sounds a bit silly, but that’s how the magical Dreamlight Valley works.
Place Tiana’s House in the Valley
After unlocking Tiana, you may welcome her to the valley and take some fun selfies together. After that, you will need to talk to her. She will be delighted to join the valley and ask you to place her house in the valley. So go to the requests section in the Furniture mode, click on Remy’s request, and simply place the house anywhere in the valley. But that’s not it, you will also have to pay Scrooge McDuck 5,000 Star Coins by interacting with his board.
After building Tiana’s house, give her the mysterious Cajun recipe book to complete the A Taste For Literature quest and unlock Tiana asaDDVvillager.
