After years in development,Dragon Age: The Veilguardwill be released on October 31. The game will have Rook as its protagonist, as well as seven companions: Davrin, Taash, Scout Harding, Lucanis, Bellara, Emmrich, and Neve Gallus. According toDragon Age: The Veilguarddirector Corinne Busche, Maevaris Tilani will appear in the game. Maevaris Tilani is a popular Tevinter Magister who appeared inDragon Agespin-off works such asThose Who Speak,Until We Sleep, andHeroes of Dragon Age. The character is also mentioned inDragon Age: Inquisition, appearing in two minor War Table quests. Nicknamed Mae, this Magister was revealed to be the first transgender character in the series, and many fans were eager for her possible appearance inThe Veilguard. At the moment, however, it’s still unknown how prominent Maevaris’ appearance will be, as Busche really only confirmed Mae’s appearance in the game and expressed her own excitement.

This was not the only interesting information divulged in BioWare’s Discord Q&A, though. Busche also revealed thatcharacters inDragon Age: The Veilguardwill have special exploration abilities, with each companion providing one. However, players will not need to keep individual team members around to use these abilities, as Rook will have access to all of them.

Recently, BioWare also sharedscreenshots of the Lighthouse inDragon Age: The Veilguard. This location will act as the party’s official headquarters, and the developers have showcased the individual rooms of each companion, giving players a glimpse of their personalities. BioWare is likely to divulge even more relevant information in the coming days, so gamers should stay tuned to discover more details about the upcoming RPG.
