EveryDungeonborneclass has five passive skills that can be unlocked to improve their combat abilities. Their requirements are tied to your stats, meaning your character must upgrade specific attributes to unlock passives. This, however, can be an expensive ordeal. you may only unlock passive skills by leveling up your character and wearing high-level gear, whichcan take a lot of goldand crafting materials. Hence, knowing which passives to unlock for your builds saves you a lot of grind.
Make sure to confirm which stat does what for each class. Rogues, for example, use Dexterity to increase their critical damage and movement speed inDungeonborne. Strength improves their physical damage. Prioritizing one stat over the other will impact your overall build. You can read the stat requirements by opening up the character inventory screen while on the camp site.
Cryomancer
Frostbite (59 Int) and Permafrost (31 Dex)
Frostbiteincreases the damage dealt by the first part of your Q skill by 50 percent. Whether Ice Storm or Frostbite Curse, the Cryomancer will make the most of his soul energy with each attack. With high-level gear, you can even use Frostbite to beat enemies before your active skill ends.
Permafrostis a must-have passive ability for the Cryomancer. It restores 1 soul energy for every critical damage hit. Note that the Cryomancer has a hard time replenishing soul energy. Unlocking Permafrost solves that problem. However, you will need to wear high-level gear to boost your critical chance, meaning that this is not a recommended ability fornew players inDungeonborne.
Death Knight
Grim Harvest (54 Str) and Soul Reaper (42 Int)
Grim Harvestcauses Grasp of the Grave to generate 20 soul energy after hitting an enemy. Note that Grasp of the Grave is already one of the main active skills of a Death Knight. Grim Harvest makes it even stronger by letting you use your active skills more often in fights.
Soul Reaperis another passive skill that improves Grasp of the Grave. It resets the cooldown to let you use Grasp of the Grave immediately after killing an enemy player. This becomes mighty useful when pitted against multiple players inDungeonborne.
Druid
Predatory Senses (36 Dex) and Seed Pods (45 Will)
Predatory Sensesis a wall-hack ability inDungeonborne. It allows the Druid to see nearby enemy players through walls and terrain while in Panther form. Making the passive ability even more overpowered is how Predatory Senses also allows you to inspect enemies. You can confirm what class they are, what weapons and armor they are packing, and see what they are currently doing to catch them off guard.
Seed Podsis another useful passive for a Druid. It improves your Force of Nature ability to summon an extra Treant. Place two of them now at a choke point to slam enemies for more damage.
Fighter
Weapon Mastery (42 Sta), Restraint (27 Will) / Hamstring (50 Str)
The Fighter is largely considered one of thebest melee classes inDungeonbornebecause of his spin-to-win Whirlwind ability. It deals massive damage to all enemies caught in range and is particularly deadly against a single enemy. However, the Fighter is not immune to damage while spinning with his two-handed weapon.Weapon Masteryhelps here by giving the Fighter a shield that can absorb up to 200 points of damage. This comes in handy if theenemy blocks or parries your attacks, allowing you to have enough health to initiate a second round of attacks.
Restraintis another passive skill that boosts your Whirlwind ability. you may neither damage teammates nor take damage from them. This allows your teammates to nuke enemies without worrying about hitting you by accident. You can jump straight into fights to start swinging. When playing solo, though, consider takingHamstringinstead. It cripples enemies hit with your Whirlwind attack, stopping enemies from running away.
Priest
Resurrection (75 Faith) and Faithful (30 Sta)
Resurrectionallows you to revive one dead teammate per dungeon. It beats finding aresurrection stone inDungeonbornedespite holding a single charge. You never know when resurrecting a fallen teammate can shift the tides in your favor.
Faithful, on the other hand, restores mana on every critical hit. Considering the Priest requires a lot of mana to spam heals, having Faithful reduces reliance on your mana potions. That, however, is not saying you will never face mana issues.
Pyromancer
Swift Casting (30 Dex) and Phoenix Aspect (24 Sta)
Swift Castingreduces the channeling time of your next Pyroblast by half after hitting an enemy with Fire Blast. Pyroblast is the main bread-and-butter spell of the Pyromancer. It does insane damage to enemies with a full charge, which can prove difficult againstclose-range PvP classes. Hence, Swift Casting becomes a necessary skill to survive close-ranged encounters. Knock back (and slow) enemies with Fire Blast before quick-casting a Pyroblast.
Phoenix Aspectis another passive skill triggered by Fire Blast. Every enemy hit with Fire Blast restores 50 life for a maximum of 200 life inDungeonborne. This makes it synergize excellently with Swift Casting, especially against multiple enemies.
Rogue
Featherefoot (93 Dex) and Stealthbreak Venom (29 Str)
While already one of the mostmobile classes inDungeonborne,Featherfootgives the Rogue a massive movement speed boost after entering stealth. The increased mobility decays over 5 seconds, but is just enough time to catch up to enemies quickly. Since experienced players will always be on the move to avoid opening themselves to a sneak attack, the increased movement speed helps position yourself for a critical attack.
The passive skill has great synergy withStealthbreak Venom, which poisons enemies when hitting them in stealth for around 150 damage over 3 seconds. It can also be combined withAmbushfor a 50-percent life steal buff that lasts around 2 seconds after breaking stealth. Both passive skills are excellent at doing massive damage bursts while increasing your survival chances.
Swordmaster
Healing Scabbard (54 Str) and Deflection (36 Sta)
Healing Scabbardis a necessary passive skill for the Swordmaster, especially when playing solo. Itrestores your life inDungeonborneafter hitting an enemy with Psionic Blades. The healing effect only triggers if the enemy fails to block the Psionic Blades, but that should not be a problem considering the range of the blades.
Deflectionis another important passive skill forevery Swordmaster build inDungeonborne. It reduces all damage taken by a whopping 50 percent while performing a Whirling Blade attack. This lets you jump right onto enemies without worrying about dying. It makes Whirling Blade a deadly ability to open up fights with.
