The Abandoned Mineshaft is the second dungeon inDungeons of Hinterberg, and players will need to use their newly-obtained magic if they hope to get through it. Entrance
Upon entering the Abandoned Mineshaft, players should follow the path to reach a ladder that can be used to descend into a chasm. At the bottom, fans ofaction gamesshould dispatch the enemies that appear and prepare to address the dungeon’s first puzzle.
Three Button Puzzle
To solve this puzzle, players should begin by pushing the mine cart that is near the room’s gates onto the adjacent yellow button. Fans should then use their Ball & Chain ability to hit the vines that are keeping a second mine cart suspended, and then push that cart onto a second yellow button. Finally, players should use their Wrecking Ball ability to place a metal ball atop a third yellow button, making it possible for them to exit the room and reach an NPC named Travis.
Optional: Three Button Puzzle Room Chest
There is a chest suspended in the three button puzzle room that players can make fall with the help of the Ball & Chain ability.
Gap
After speaking with Travis, players should climb the nearby cliff and follow the path until they reach a gap that they cannot jump across. To get past this obstacle,RPGfans should hit the rectangle that is on the far side of the gap with the Ball & Chain ability and then retract it to create a pathway.
Magic-Shielded Enemy
Beyond the gap, players should climb across a cliff face and follow the path to reach a battle with a magic-shielded enemy. After dispatching this foe, fans should climb the ladder in the room and jump into the mine cart to catch a ride to the dungeon’s next puzzle.
Optional: Chest Before Magic-Shielded Enemy
Players will encounter an illuminated gate on the path between the gap and the magic-shielded enemy. To get past that gate, fans offantasy gamesshould climb the stairs to the left, enter the room to the right, and use the Wrecking Ball ability to destroy the cracked wall.
Scale Puzzle
To solve the puzzle beyond the magic-shielded enemy, players should stand on the square platform that is on the ground and place a Wrecking Ball on the elevated platform that is near it. Fans ofgames with unique art stylesshould then scale the wall and throw a Ball & Chain at the target that is across the room. Fans should then drop to the ground, throw a Ball & Chain at the orb that is now accessible, retract it to rotate the track, and hop in the mine cart.
Mine Cart Ride
Players will now be in a mine cart section, and they will need to press the appropriate directional inputs to get through it. There is a chest that holds 1,000 HBs that players can access during this puzzle section. To reach it,indie video gamefans must ride the mine cart along the track on the right side of the open gate before executing Step 4 from the previously provided solution.
Exit
Players must now simply dispatch the boss and interact with the nearby Stamp Station. Fans ofZelda-like gameswill then be able to pass through the gateway that is adjacent to the Stamp Station, ending their time in the Abandoned Mineshaft.
