While this dungeon is not very large, its puzzles can make it quite tricky to complete. For those players who are indeed having trouble with the Giant Cavern inDungeons of Hinterberg, this complete walkthrough is here to help.
Players must use Wrecking Ball to complete the Giant Cavern. Fortunately, fans will already be quite familiar with this skill, as they will have used it while working throughDungeons of Hinterberg’s Abandoned Mineshaft.
Dungeons of Hinterberg: Giant Cavern Walkthrough
Upon entering the Giant Cavern, players should use the large lift to reach an area with a closed gate and a yellow container on wheels. In this area, fans ofindie gameswill find that they can use several handholds on the right wall to reach the platform on the right, and they will be directly across from an alcove in the left wall when they reach that position. The goal here is to push the aforementioned yellow container so that it creates a bridge between the platform and the alcove, and players should use the Wrecking Ball ability to destroy the cracked wall after crossing.
Players should now pass through the corridor that they have just made accessible to reach the other side of the closed gate. Fans ofZelda-like gamesshould then press the button on that gate, to open it, and pull the yellow container so that it is next to a platform with a ladder. Players should then climb that ladder, use the container to jump to the platform on the other side of the corridor, and enter the small room that is straight ahead.
In this room, players will find a chest and a mine cart.RPGfans should ride that cart to go back to the dungeon’s main room, return to the yellow container, and pull it toward the gate that they opened previously, stopping when the container is adjacent to a pile of cracked rocks that block an elevated path on the right side of the corridor. With the container in position, players should ride the mine cart back to where it was initially stationed, exit the room and turn right, and detonate a Wrecking Ball on top of the container to destroy the cracked rocks.
Players should now return to the main room and use the ramp against the wall to access the path that they just cleared. Fans will find a group of enemies at the end of this path, and they should dispatch them and press the illuminated button to activate an elevator in another part of the dungeon. Players can then use the nearby lift to return to the bottom of the main room.
Players should now go back to the yellow container and push it to the end of the corridor. Fans ofexploration-focused gamesshould then climb the ladder that they scaled earlier, climb across the handholds on the back wall, and drop onto the container. From this position, players can jump to a previously inaccessible path, and they should press the button at its end and use Ball and Chain to drop the nearby ladder.
Players should then cross the bridge that they just rotated, ride the mine cart, and climb the ladder that they just dropped. Fans ofadventure gamesshould now press the button near the ladder, climb back down the ladder, and ride the mine cart to its preliminary position. The bridge near that position should now be oriented in a way that makes the elevator that was previously activated accessible, and fans can ride it to reach the Stamp Station, a chest, and the dungeon’s exit.
