Patch 1.12 most notably introduces balance adjustments for various armaments, while also adding a new mechanic in which crafted consumables used during a duel in the Colosseum are automatically replenished at the end of a session.

Reddit user OrganizedBonfire shared a clip to the r/Eldenring subreddit showing that players could no longer use attacks whenstepping inside the arena after defeating Mohg, Lord of Blood. For context, there are only a few non-combat areas in the Lands Between. These locations typically contain non-playable characters that are crucial to the game’s storyline, many of whom could potentially keep the player from progressing if attacked.

Fans believed this was also why Mohg’s arena was turned into a no-combat zone, with several comments pointing out how theShadow of the ErdtreeDLC is accessedthrough the white cocoon found inside. Some users speculated the developers didn’t want players to accidentally aggravate Needle Knight Leda, the critical NPC who will reportedly await the Tarnished in Mohg’s arena and help transport them to the Land of Shadow.
