The Burning reaction isn’t a popular one among the other reactions inGenshin Impact. One of the main reasons why people prefer other reactions is the lack of DMG and the utility Burning provides. For that, Emilie could be the savior of the Burning reaction or a flop if the reaction kept its underwhelming mechanics.
To be able to judge if Emilie is a good fit in Burning team comps, it’s important to pair her with the best characters that can either enhance the reaction or smoothly work with it.
3Emilie + Baizhu + Kazuha + Dehya
Burning reaction has a mechanic where enemies who are too close to theBurning opponent will be affected with the same DMG. That makes characters that collect enemies together in one area an essential pick in every team that mainly relies on Burning DPS. In this Emilie team comp, Dehya provides the Pyro application while Emilie and Baizhu spread Dendro among enemies and greatly buff the Burning reaction. On top of that, Kazuha can collect most enemies in one place while helping with the Pyro enabling as there are no other Elements he can interact with in this team.
Since Baizhu is providing the buff and healing, you’re able to easily switch Kazuha or Dehya with any of their perspective Elements. Venti or Sucrose can take Kazuha’s place. Support-wise, Sucrose is definitelythe best among the three Anemo unitssince she can increase the team’s Elemental Mastery, which increases the Burning reaction.
Team Roles
2Emilie + Arlecchino + Yelan + Bennett
This team heavily revolves around Arlecchino as the team’s DPS with Emilie, Yelan, and Bennett working hard to maximize her DPS andcontinuously triggering Burgeon/Vaporize inGenshin Impact. Emilie and Yelan can apply their respective Elements nonstop, which creates a synergy of Dendro and Hydro, constantly creating Blooms for Arlecchino to trigger Burgeon after. On the other hand, Emilie and Arlecchino can still trigger Burning, which Yelan can Vaporize.
Yelan and Bennett work perfectly with Arlecchino since they buff her DMG while helping Arlecchino trigger Vaporize on almost all of her hits. You can switch Arlecchino out to bring Hu Tao in for this versatile team. In that case, Xianyun becomes a viable option instead of Bennett because of her ability to buff Hu Tao’s Plunge attacks. Xingqiu can also replace Yelan as both basically have the same kit.
1Emilie + Ganyu + Xiangling + Bennett
Ganyu Burning/Melt (Burnmelt) teams have been viable afterDendro was introduced inGenshin Impact. Before Emilie, Nahida was the star of these teams because of her ability to constantly apply Dendro and trigger Burning, putting Ganyu in a situation where all her Charged attacks are bound to trigger Melt. It’s worth noting that any Cryo DPS that can deal massive DMG with Melt can replace Ganyu, such as Wriothesley.
Now that Emilie is available, she fits perfectly in that team since her entire kit revolves around Burning and dealing off-field DMG. Additionally, this team needs a Pyro unit that can deal off-field Pyro DMG since Ganyu will be taking all the field time. Xiangling and Bennett are both great options for this team because of their synergy together, in addition to them activating the Pyro Resonance, which increases the team’s ATK by 25%. All of Emilie, Ganyu, andXiangling’s attacks scale with their ATK, which makes the Pyro Resonance and Bennett super important for the team.
