AFallout 4player has found a trick to get the Quantum X-01 Power Armor without completing the Star Control quest. Of all the Power Armor suits inFallout 4, the Quantum X-01 is among the most coveted, and this trick may reduce the time spent in acquiring it.

There are 50 unique Power Armor suits inFallout 4, each with its own benefits and drawbacks. While some Power Armor offers impressive stats to improve combat or mobility, some are mostly a cosmetic change from the standard suit. Among the game’s Power Armor is the Quantum X-01, which can be found in Starport Nuka fromFallout 4’s Nuka-World DLC. To acquire the Quantum X-01, players typically have to collect 35 Star Cores to unlock a glass case containing the Power Armor. These Star Cores are littered around Nuka-World, forcing players to explore much of the area before they can unlock the Quantum X-01. One gamer has discovered a trick that allows them to bypass the Star Core requirement for the coveted Power Armor.

Reddit user Natt42 recently shared two screenshots highlighting their experience obtaining the Quantum X-01 Power Armor. One image is of the Quantum X-01 Power Armor from above, presumably with a dead NPC inside it. The second screenshot shows the player inaFallout 4Power Armorsuit observing the standing Quantum X-01 outside its cage. According to Natt42, they had collected a majority of the Star Cores and returned to Starport Nuka to deposit them. While at the terminal, the player was attacked by Operators, with one jumping through the glass containing the Quantum X-01 to use it in combat. The gamer then defeated the Operators and was able to loot the Quantum X-01 Power Armor without the Star Core requirement.

This Trick for the Quantum X-01 Works

While this player was attacked by randomly spawning Operators, it may be possible to do the same trick after kiting them to Starport Nuka. According to another player, it’s also possible to access the Quantum X-01 suit through the case containing it by exiting another Power Armor right in front of it. After getting inside the case using this method, players must fast-travel to a location once inside the Quantum X-01 because it’s still trapped in the case. When players leave their Power Armor ataFallout 4Settlementwith the Fusion Core still inside, any NPC can take ownership of it. As it’s rare for the NPCs to vacate Power Armor once they obtain it, this has resulted in many frustrated fans.

As it takes some time to obtain all the Star Cores for the Quantum X-01, this technique may be ideal for players looking to complete their Power Armor collections. BecauseBethesda continues to updateFallout 4, players may not be able to replicate this trick in the future.
