How To Complete Line In The Sand In Fallout 76

Line In The Sand is arandom public event. Public events automatically trigger on the hour, 20 minutes past the hour, and 20 minutes to the hour. Since there’s no guarantee of the event being Line In The Sand, players may need to server-hop a couple of times to find this particularunderrated event.

Line In The Sand itself is pretty straightforward and can be found right outside of Fort Defiance.Players will need to head there and defend a Sonic Generator from 3 waves of Scorched Enemies. While the objective is simple, the event can be surprisingly challenging, especially for low-level players. Not only do regular Scorched enemies spawn for this event, buta couple of Scorchbeastswill also join the attack.

Killing Scorched Inside Fort Defiance In Fallout 76

If theSonic Generatoris broken, then players will need to fix it within 60 seconds or the event will fail. To avoid this happening, be sure to keep an eye on the Sonic Generator’s durability bar at the top of the screen.

Players can also fix a handful of turrets around the Sonic Generator. These will help to fend off some of the attackers.

If one of the turrets kills a Scorched enemy, then you won’t receive any XP for the kill unless you have tagged the enemy with a normal weapon first, so maybe it’s best to keep the turrets offline.

You’ll need to take out every Scorched enemy to complete the event. They will come from all directions, so it’sbest to stay in the center, close to the Sonic Generator. If you are a relatively low-level player, then you may need a little bit of backup, but veteran players should be able to complete the event with relative ease.

Rewards For Completing Line In The Sand

While they aren’tthe most exciting rewardsin the game, there isa small chance of being awarded one of the game’s rarer plansfor completing the event — plans like T-51B Power Armor Pieces and some other plans that are considered to be somewhat rare.

After the event, it is worth going inside the building to look for theRed Asylum Uniform. On the third floor inside Fort Defiance, there are 3 possible spawn locations for the Red Asylum Uniform. While it may not be as valuable as it used to be, it is still incredibly hard to come by — there’s less than a 1% chance of it spawning — but it’s worth a look, just in case.
