Because of this, anElder Scrollsfan by the username FrankthedankJr laid out their arguments in a Reddit post as to why the next game should take place in Elsweyr, theregion that stands out from otherElder Scrollsprovinces. This epithet comes due to a variety of factors. Unlike other regions, Elsweyr is home to two distinct biomes that shape its unique geography, the jungles of the south and the deserts of the north. Likewise, the culture of its inhabitants reflects this radical difference, while the pantheon of deities worshiped is not found anywhere else on the continent. Add to that the unique race that is affected by the phases of the moon, and the weirdest region of Tamriel is born.
Fans Root for Elder Scrolls 6 to Take Place in Elsweyr
Other fans expressed their support for this idea, with most arguing in favor due to the love they have for the Khajiit. The famousmeme race ofSkyrimis the one that calls Elsweyr its home, and features various subtypes within the race, allowing for in-depth character customization. Additionally, fans point out the unique Khajiit culture, which includes a spiritual leader known as “the Mane,” which could serve as the goal of an overarching quest line.
Despite their love forrich Khajiit lore found inElder Scrolls, other fans expressed their doubts regarding the possibility of Elsweyr being the home ofElder Scrolls 6. They point out that enough time has passed since the previous title was released that a region like Hammerfell is a safer choice to draw in a new generation of fans who were too young to fully enjoy the experience offered bySkyrim. Hammerfell is the largest region on Tamriel, with a history that predates even the mysterious and highly advanced Dwemer. Parts of Hammerfell have already been featured in multiple previousElder Scrollstitles, further adding to its appeal.
