Brand-new farming simFields of Mistriahas quickly established itself as one to watch. Despite being an Early Access title that’s been out for less than a month, it’s already receivingamazing reviewsfrom those who’ve played it. However, since it’s such a new release, many fans are trying to find their footing as they play - after all, there’s a lot of information to come by while playing, and a lot of different features to make sense of.

However - as is usually the case in farming simulators - crops are one of the best things to get familiar with early on. They’ll likely be the number-one moneymaker for many players, at least during the first few in-game months when fishing and mining may take a while to get used to. As such, in this article, we’ll be discussing exactly which crops are the best to grow during each season inFields of Mistria, including buy and sell prices.

Spring Crops Fields of Mistria

Best Spring Crops

As the first season inFields of Mistria, Spring can often feel like the most important time of the year to get enough money to help push through the next three seasons. In Spring, there are two high-profit crops we recommend to bring inas much moneyas possible.

Cabbage

As with all seeds in the game, cabbage seeds can be purchased from the General Store in Mistria for 70 Tesserae,Fields of Mistria’sin-game currency, each. While this makes them a little pricier than other options like turnips, the price is worth it for the profit. After 9 days of growing, cabbages can then be sold for 180T. While this is a higher growing time than many of the other crops available in Spring, it’s definitely worth it for how much cabbages are worth, especially if they’re bought and planted in bulk.

Strawberries

For new players, strawberries may seem like one of the worst options available for a first year crop at a whopping 300T each. However, strawberries are actually one of the best crops in the game since they only need to be planted once and then continue growing for the rest of the month. Alongside this, they only take 5 days to grow once planted, and they can be harvested every three days. The cherry on top is that strawberries sell for a 125T each, meaning that as long as they’re planted early in the season, it’s incredibly easy to make your money back with them.

While strawberries are an amazing source of income, their profit peaksbefore Spring 14. After this date, players should prioritize planting cabbage seeds instead so as to not waste their money.

Summer Crops Fields of Mistria

Best Summer Crops

The best crops to plant this season are all plants that only need to be planted once before they can be harvested all throughout the season, making them fantastic options for planting them and forgetting about them until they need to be harvested. They’re all also high-profit crops, making Summer one of themore profitableseasons inFields of Mistria.

Corn

These follow pretty much the same idea as strawberries: they cost 300T, take 5 days to fully grow, and then can be harvested every three days. They sell for 125T each, meaning that if they’re planted early enough, players can easily make their money back. Corn is also great because it can be used in a ton of different recipes, too.

Tea

Getting your hands on tea seeds may be a more difficult one, as it requires having the General Store upgrade, so this might not be a viable option for those still in their first year of the game. However, once unlocked, tea seeds can be purchased for 300T. They’ll take five days to fully grow and can be harvested every three days.

Tea is also a great option because it can be used in so many recipes. These recipes are thepreferred giftsof several different villagers, will likely pop up in requests, and they can be sold for a good amount of profit. This alone makes tea well worth growing.

Fall Crops Fields of Mistria

Tomatoes

Unsurprisingly, tomatoes are great because they’re another one in the ‘constantly growing’ group of crops. Just like the rest, they can be bought for 300T, sold for 125T, take five days to mature, and can be harvested every three days after that. They’re another one that should be planted as early as possible to get the most profit possible.

Best Fall Crops

Fall is by farthe best seasonfor crops inFields of Mistria, with five high-profit crops being growable in this season. What’s even better is that four of those five crops are re-harvestable crops, so you may plant them at the start of the season and do nothing but sit back and watch the money come in.

Cranberries

Cranberries are another crop that can be planted and left alone. They’re 300T, sell for 125T, take five days to mature and can be harvested every three days. Buy as many as you can and plant them as early as possible. Just like the other crops we’ve mentioned that are bought for 300T and sold for 125T, if they’re planted at the very start of Fall and no days of watering are missed, they should come out to a total profit of 575T.

Onion

Onions are similar to the other re-harvestable crops in that they follow the same growing schedule and cost 300T to buy, but there’s a catch - they sell for 135T each instead of 125T. This makes them an even more profitable option than most, as a crop planted on the first day of Fall will 645T per plant.

Pumpkin

Similarly to cabbages, pumpkins cost 70T to buy and take a hefty 9 days to grow. However, they also sell for 180T, making them a cheap, good plant to buyin bulk to help bring in the money- the only issue being that they just don’t do it very quickly.

Rice

Rice is a little different than the rest of the constantly regrowing crops. Rice seeds are purchased for 300T, but they take 9 days to grow before they begin yielding harvests every 3 days. They also sell for 150T, and while this is a higher selling price than onions, their long growing time means they’re not quite as profitable. However, rice is used in tons of recipes - including some pretty profitable ones like ‘Roasted Rice Tea’ - making it a good option to use in cooking.

Wheat

Just like rice, wheat follows the same growing and selling pattern, making it less profitable as a whole when compared to the other Fall options. However, it still makes a pretty good profit overall per crop at 600T.

Best Winter Crops

Unlike in otherpopular farming sims,Fields of Mistriahas crops available to purchase even in Winter, so players won’t have to rely entirely on foraging, fishing, or mining to keep themselves from going broke. While the Winter crops available aren’t necessarily as profitable as crops from previous seasons, the Snow Peas are once again harvestable throughout the month, making them a comfortable and reliable way of gaining money regardless.

Daikon Radish

Daikon radish can be bought for only 70T, though like cabbage, it takes 9 days to grow. However, the wait is worth it - they sell for a massive 180T, meaning that while profits may not be as massive as some other crops, they’ll still be huge.

Snow Peas

Snow peas are yet another great self-sustainable option as they continue to be harvestable after being planted. They can be purchased for 300T, making them one of the more expensive options, but they sell for 125T each, meaning that they’re just as good a bulk-buy option as previously discussed crops like strawberries.

Another great way to make a little extra money with snow peas is to cook with them. After shipping the first snow pea, players will receive a recipe for ‘Sauteed Snow Peas’ in the mail. All this requires is snow peas and water chestnuts, which can be found in either The Narrows or Balor’s Wagon. This recipe can be sold for 140T, making it more profitable than selling the peas alone.
