One of the few weapons withfour required stats, the Gazing Finger is a greatColossal weaponfor bonking enemies on the head to delete them from existence inElden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree. Players can get this weapon from theRemembrance of the Mother of Fingers. When properly utilizied, players will be breaking stances and crushing their enemies left and right.
As a colossal weapon, it deals a significant amount of poise damage, and the weapon art gives the playerdecent hyper armor, making it a good choice for staggering bosses. Moreover, it has a powerful ash of war that players can use to their advantage quite easily.
This colossal weapon scales primarily withStrength, as all good bonk sticks do, but it also scales withIntelligenceandFaith. The Faith aspect effects only the weapon art, while Strength and Intelligence increase the damage dealt by the player during normal and strong attacks.
To maximize the damage output of the weapon, you will need to decide whether you will bespamming the strong attack or the weapon skill. If you decide to go skill spam, investing in faith as the primary stat is the best option. However, strong attacks scale almost entirely off of Strength. Intelligence onlyincreases the damage marginallyand can be mostly ignored after meeting the 20 point requirement. Here is what your stats should look atlevel 150.

Best Talismans for Gazing Finger in the Elden Ring DLC
As a verifiable sledgehammer, the Gazing Finger is very easy to optimize your build for. Maximize your damage, and don’t think about anything else. If you’re planning to focus your efforts on optimizing theweapon skill: Kowtower’s Resentment, these four should beyour talismans of choice:
Carian Filigreed Crest: Decreases FP consumed by skills
Godfrey Icon: Increases damage dealt by charged skills and spells
Sacred Scorpion Charm: Increases the damage of Holy attacks but decreases damage negation
Shard of Alexanderdoesn’t buff the shock wave that emanates from the weapon skill, making it almost useless for Gazing Finger.
If you want to focus on the physical side of things and deal as muchdamageas possiblewithout using the skill, here’s what you need:
Two-Handed Sword Talisman: Increases damage from two-handing a weapon
Claw Talisman: Increases damage dealt by jump attacks
Blade of Mercy: Increases damage after dealing critical hits
Optimizing your build for the ash of warwill bemore effective for pure damage, but it will result inless staggers. The physical side of the weapon does good posture damage, but isn’t the best in dealing overall high damage.
Holy Skill Mixture
Holy-Shrouding Cracked Tear: Increases holy damage
Cerulean-Sapping Cracked Tear: Restores FP on successful attacks for 45 seconds
Physical Attack Mixture
Spiked Cracked Tear: Increases attack power of charged attacks (Doesn’t work on spells or skills)
Stonebarb Cracked Tear: Increases likelihood of breaking enemy stance.
Spell Choices for the Gazing Finger
Since players have 20 Int in this build, they will have a muchwider choice of spellsthey can equip. It ultimately depends on the player’s choice, though spells aren’t a requirement for this build since it covers both AoE and single target damage quite well. It also deals good damage over range, making it an ideal all-rounder build.
The Golden Vow incantationis recommended since it isone of the best buffing spellsin the game. Other than that, players can use any spell that they think is viable. If players increase their Int to 25, they can also equip theStaff of the Great Beyond, which can be used tocast both incantations and sorceries.
