A newFortniteclip has a player showing that Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion is way more useful than it appears.Fortniteplayers try to make the most out of everything they’re given during any match, but occasionally, some opt to ditch items. Sometimes that includes items like Victory Crowns, which can be more trouble than they’re worth, and in addition, some players don’t always love using Medallions gained during events.
Chapter 5 Season 4 ofFortniteintroduced anew array of Medallionsfor players to use during the game. Some of them, like Doombot’s Siphon Medallion, incentivize more aggressive gameplay, but ones like Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion allow players to activate cloaking when they crouch. The cloaking function will cease when players stop crouching or if they attack other players. Although stealth is important toFortnite,many players thinkMysterio’s Medallion isn’t worth it since it shows a radius of the user’s location.
Recently, a player known as K-boomX94 showed that despite the radius giveaway, Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion is actually pretty useful. The player istargeted by War Machine’s Auto Turretand reacts by running away and beginning to cloak. Their attacker tries to chase them, but the Auto Turret can’t see them, and it is not too long before the attacker gets distracted by another enemy. K-boomX94 takes the chance to pop out and eliminate the player.
Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion is Actually Pretty Good
Some players have countered with the idea that it’s more about how situational the cloaking mechanic is, stating that reloading or healing cancels the cloak. Other players have pointed out that if they begin healing and then start cloaking, they should be just fine, and with the clip as proof that the Medallion does come in handy, there are plenty of players who want to try out the Medallion and see how they fare. In order to do that,they’ll have to beat Mysterioor grab the Medallion off of a fallen player.
Mysterio’s Stealth Medallion grants a pretty evident advantage when used in the right place at the right time, but it’s not the only unique item that players can pick up. There are plenty of otherbosses to take on in Chapter 5 Season 4 ofFortnitethat offer various advantages if the player is successful. The catch is that fighting a boss during a battle royale match is guaranteed to draw a lot of attention, so players will have to be confident they can take the heat.
