Summary
An extremely luckyFortniteplayer joined a Trios match, left it running, and still bagged a win in the end without doing anything. The Trios mode pits 99Fortniteplayers, grouped in teams of three, in a fight to be the last team standing on a gradually shrinking map.
FortniteTrios mode is a highly popular aspect ofFortnite Battle Royale. First introduced in the game in 2019, it was eventually removed in May 2023 in hopes of shorter queue times and improved matchmaking. However, after enough fan backlash, developerEpic Games added Trios againa month later in non-ranked and Zero Build versions. As fans continue to put hours into the game mode, they undergo all sorts of memorable experiences. One such standout experience was recently shared by a Trios mode player.
In a Reddit post, aFortniteuser shared that they achieved Victory Royale in a Trios match despite going AFK before even landing on the map. The attached image, which showed various stats and unlockedForniteAccoladeson their screen, proved that the player did little to nothing and still managed to grab a win. It revealed that the player had zero eliminations, zero assists, and zero damage inflicted during the match. As per the image, they took 200 damage and traveled a hilariously short distance of 24cm—the only two non-zero stats from this run. Moreover, several unlocked Accolades can be seen on the screen that highlight the player’s impeccably pacifist road to victory.
Fortnite Trios Mode Player Goes AFK and Pulls Off the Impossible
TheFortniteBattle Royale player wonthe Trios match against all odds, while doing virtually nothing, understandably due to the effort of their two other teammates. While it can’t be verified, they likely survived the entire match without firing a bullet because of the proficiency of teammates as well as their own sheer luck. In one of the replies, the player reveals that their character died “at some point early on,” suggesting that the teammates rebooted them as well, which would also justify the 200 damage taken.
As expected, the rest of theFortnitecommunity was amazed at this feat. A user commented, “That’s actually insane.” Another comment stated, “Bro got all the accolades some YouTubers struggled to get over the course of one match.” Some users poked fun at the player for contributing nothing to the match, calling them “that guy holding up the poster for the project while your classmates do the presentation.”
Recently,Epic Games was revealed to be adding more new skinstoFortnite, enabling players to dress up as characters from many of Disney’s IPs, such as Dr Doom, Captain Hook, Frozone, and Cruella de Vil to name a few. On top of that, with an entirely new season due in November,Fortnitefans undoubtedly have lots to look forward to in the coming months.
