The most acclaimed member of this trio isEnder Lilies, which boasts an OpenCritic aggregate score of 85, as well as an immense 89% reviewer recommendation rate. Manycritics praisedEnder Liliesas a stellar example of modern metroidvanias, not least because of its tight controls, varied level design, and a feeling of poignant melancholy that it evokes, among other qualities.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagaboasts similar acclaim, as reflected in its 82 aggregate score and 88% reviewer recommendation rate on OpenCritic. It’s also the most content-packed title from the August 2024 selection of PS Plus freebies, with HowLongToBeat data suggesting a speedy run throughThe Skywalker Sagawill take around 19 hours. Seeing everything that this 2022 game has to offer is a much more time-consuming affair that could require north of 85 hours.
PlayStation Portal
While not exactly a PSP successor, the PlayStation Portal solves an age-old issue of having to share one TV in a household. This remote play device allows users to stream whatever is happening on their PlayStation 5’s directly to the large 8-inch 1080p LCD screen. What makes the PlayStation Portal unique is that it comes packed with all the advanced technology of the DualSense wireless controller, such as adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. One downside is that it doesn’t feature Bluetooth support for wireless audio, but it does work with the PlayStation Pulse earbuds and headset, while also sporting a 3.5mm audio jack for wired audio.
