It was during this epic finale that player treatyofversailles19 encountered an exhilarating glitch that allowed them to continuously fire off theirDestiny 2Titan Super, devastating fields of enemies. As an epic finale to nearly a decade of narrative, Excision is the kind of mission that includes many ways for players to break free of the constraints of traditionalDestiny 2gameplay balance, but even this sudden burst of power was so overwhelming that fellow players even jokingly called it “lore-accurate.”

Destiny 2 Excision Glitch Gives Titan Unlimited Supers

The glitch encountered by treatyofversailles19 saw them able to continually trigger their Twilight Arsenal Super, carpeting the entire play area with Void-powered battleaxes. They could even trigger Supers so quickly that they were practically hovering over the field launching axes for nearly a full minute uninterrupted. Amused players called the behavior “canonical,” and “lore-accurate,” as the unique mechanics and moments found intheDestiny 2Excision activityseemingly justify a Guardian being able to summon such overwhelming might under the circumstances.

More seriously, while Excision generally allows players to use their Supers more often than usual, the glitch appears to be the result of an unusual interaction between the mission’s unique Super-recharging bonus effects and the nature of “one-off” Supers like the Twilight Arsenal. Other players reported similar effects when using theDestiny 2Hunter Golden Gun Super in Excision.

Other players noted that Excision itself seems to be prone to odd bugs, such as one that forced a player tosolo the final defeat of The Witness. The glitches may be related to the fact that Excision uses an abnormally large fireteam size of twelve Guardians, in the largest activity the game has yet implemented. Such a unique scale can bring with it unique faults, even if those faults can make the mission amusing for some.
