Summary

Throughout the history of gaming, players have been presented with many choices, most of which are rewarded (or punished) accordingly. But what happens when the game rewardsmaking stupid decisions? Then it all comes down to two choices: loot or dignity.

These gameswill not punish players if they kick a chicken, or let one of their team members die. Au contraire, these titles will reward players' poor choices with some secret unlockables they won’t be able to obtain otherwise. Or maybe even a perk to play as an oblivious lucky boy. It’s time for a true display of silliness.

fallout 4 idiot savant build

InFallout 4, there’s a perk that rewards players for being tremendously stupid. That is,the Idiot Savant perkwhich benefits their characters for being silly. Having their intelligence score set at 1 from the get-go, and investing in an Idiot Savant build can be a fun way to play.

This perk works as follows: At perk tier 1, players can receive 3x XP from any action, and the lower their Intelligence, the greater the chance of triggering this effect. At perk tier 2, players can randomly receive 5x XP from any action. The lower their Intelligence score, the greater the chances. Finally, at perk tier 3, any action from the players can trigger 3x XP buff for all kills for a short duration. The lower their Intelligence, the greater the chances for this to happen.

Handsome Jack in Borderlands 2

The endgame inBorderlands 2can be quite taxing, more so when players need so much Eridium to boost their character, which is helpful in the higher difficulty levels. But worry not, players can get 12 pieces of extra Eridium by completing a Trivial Mission in Eridium Blight, more precisely, at Lover’s Leap.

The quest isgiven by none other than Handsome Jack. We will not discuss the full nature of this quest, but let’s say that if Jack says “Jump,” players should go ahead and do it. Completing this mission which requires players to lose their “Deathless” trophy, will reward them with some XP and, of course, Eridium, alongside some handsome voice lines from their BBEG.

Barrowfields Demon Door Fable The Lost Chapters

In theFablefranchise, there isa particular existence called The Demon Door, which is an enchanted locked vault with a sentient talking face that will challenge the players to commit the most absurd of acts in order to earn the rewards they keep. And the Barrofields Demon Door fromThe Lost Chapterswill task the player with committing a dumb mistake: To get fat.

to access this door, which contains a useful Will Elixir (which boosts players' magic score permanently) players need to chug down Beer and Apple Pies in front of the door like there’s no tomorrow. Consequently, they’ll get a considerable size increase, and probably puke (a lot) in the process. But hey! The reward is worth it!

Gale Disapproves Licking Spider Baldur’s Gate 3

If anyone told players they’d be able to beat one of the strongest bosses inBaldur’s Gate 3by licking a dead spider, they’d probably think it was a joke. But it just so happens that gamers can get a great shortcut in a boss fight during the end of Act 2 when they’re sent by Raphaelinto Shar’s Gauntlet to face the Orthon Yugir, his minions, and his Displacer Beast (note on this last part). The player’s allies (especially Gale) will consider this action as tremendously stupid but hold my beer on that.

By licking the spider, players discover the meat (which Yugir has been feeding to his cat) is laced with Succubus essence, and then, if players use Talk with Animals after finding out this truth, they can convince the Displacer Beast to turn against his master. This will practically turn the odds in the player’s favor by 80% since the Underdark Panther is a tremendously powerful ally.

Dragon Age Inquisition Storvacker

InDragon Age Inquisition: Jaws of Hakkonthe Inquisitor is summoned to act as judge, jury, and executioner of the lazy (and powerful) deity of the local tribe: Storvacker. The bear has been dimmed as unfit to rule the tribe and being a guardian beast, and players need to decide her fate.

While execution or banishment are two of their main options, there is a hidden option that will earn players a juicier reward. But for that, they need to make Dad Jokes about the bear’s cowardly conduct at all points during the trial, and at that point,Cassandra Penthagast, tired of the Inquisitor’s goofiness, will suggest another possible choice: To turn the bear into an agent of the Inquisition. This will unlock several Agent missions in the War Table, where Storvacker will have to redeem herself until she serves her time.

world of warcraft player reaches level 70 without spending money or selling items

Perhaps, the most iconic act of silliness in the history of gaming, and the birth of a legend: Leeroy Jenkins' battle cry and dive into the Rookery in the Blackrock Spire Dungeon. This single act became a meme so fast, thatWorld of Warcraftwouldn’t be what it is todaywithout Leeroy’s brave (but foolish) act.

If players are dumb enough to replicate this, they are awarded with a Feat of Strength, a type of achievement that can be difficult to manage, or requires both luck and timing to be accomplished. Well, in this case, Leeroy Jenkins' Feat requires players to be a little bit dumb as well.

Solid Snake captured

InMetal Gear Solid, when the players are captured by Revolver Ocelot (aka The Boss), they are subjected to torture.to avoid revealing vital information, players must smash the action button repeatedly as they are electroshocked. But, if the players decide to just give up, and don’t press any button, they won’t get a game over, but instead, will be taken as they giving up the information.

This leads to the part of the consequences of this really stupid (and lazy) action: A person close to Snake will die, and players will unlock another ending of the game. But at the same time, they’ll be able to unlock the Camo Suit which turns them invisible, so, dumb or not, it has its rewards.
