A newGenshin Impactleak has revealed more details about two characters who are expected to join the playable roster in the future. The arrival of a new major region inGenshin Impactis, for many Travelers, considered the most important annual occasion, as it introduces tons of new content, including new playable units.
The ongoing Version 5.0 has already added two new playable characters, the five-star Hydro user Mualani and the four-star Geo polearm user Kachina. Players can obtain a copy of Kachina for free by progressing through the Archon Quest, while the second part ofGenshin Impact5.0 will also introduce a new five-star Dendro user, Kinich.
Genshin Impact’s Natlan teaser videoshave introduced numerous new characters, most of whom are expected to join the roster in the future. Two of these characters are Citlali and Ororon. Anew postby a credible leaker named Mero has revealed more information about Citlali’s and Ororon’s weapon types. According to the leak, Citlali will be a new catalyst user, while Ororon will use a bow as his main weapon. Citlali’s appearance in the Ignition Teaser: A Name Forged in Flames has confirmed that she has a Cryo Vision, which has excited the community, as Cryo characters have been somewhat neglected over the last couple of months.

There is not much information about Citlali other than that she comes from the Masters of the Night Wind tribe. The mysterious Ororon also belongs to the same tribe. While there is no official information or credible leaks about their rarity, many fans hope both characters will be five-star units. The last Cryo character to join the roster was Writhesley, who arrived inGenshin ImpactVersion 4.1.
Regarding their release date, the only confirmed information is that they won’t be part of the upcomingGenshin ImpactUpdate 5.1, as HoYoverse has already revealed their roster additions for the next update. The only new character in 5.1 will be the five-star Geo user Xilonen, which means the update will feature three banner reruns.
There is a chance that HoYoverse may include them in Version 5.2, since credible leakers have revealed thatGenshin Impact5.3 should be reserved for the Pyro Archon Mavuika. Archons are usually the most popular characters in the community, so sales-wise, it would not make sense for HoYoverse to pair them with another popular character release in the same update.
