AGenshin Impactleak has revealed tons of information about one of the upcoming characters, Xilonen. HoYoverse has confirmed that she will be part of the upcoming Natlan expansion, which should arrive along withGenshin Impactversion 5.0.
The release of a new major region is always followed by a significant roster expansion, meaning that players can expect at least three or more new characters to join the pool of playable characters with each update. Developer HoYoverse has already confirmed that the upcomingGenshin Impactupdate 5.0 will introduce three new playable units: Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina.
Natlan’s teaser “A Name Forged in Flames” has confirmed that Xilonen will be a newGeo user inGenshin Impact. A credibleGenshin Impactleaker who goes by the name FouL has revealed moredetailsabout one of the Natlan characters named Xilonen. According to the leaks, Xilonen’s Elemental Skill and Normal Attacks will grant stacks of an effect called Night Souls. Dealing damage increases the number of Night Souls, which grant a special type of aura. Xilonen’s C1 effect will increase the interruption resistance for all on-field characters.

Having a character who provides different buffs depending on the elements in their party will be a welcome adjustment.
When it comes to Xilonen’s release date, she is expected to arrive inGenshin Impactversion 5.1, which should drop around October 9. There are still no credible leaks about her exact banner placement. While HoYoverse is yet to officially reveal her weapon type, many rumors have suggested that Xilonen will be a new sword user. However, it should be noted that these leaks are to be taken with a grain of salt considering that Xilonen’s official arrival is still at least two months away.
