Although HoYoverse has yet to officially explain the Nightsoul mechanic, recent leaks suggest it will be exclusive to Natlan characters, similar to howGenshin Impact’s Bond of Lifeis tied to Fontaine’s playable units. In Mualani’s case, she can use her knowledge of the tides and her Elemental Skill to surf anywhere. After using her skill, she will enter the Nightsoul Blessing state.
Mounting the Sharky Surfboard will increase Mualani’s Movement Speed. Her Normal Attacks will change to Sharky’s Bites, dealing Hydro damage based on Mualani’s max HP. Mualani’s Elemental Burst is simpler, as it makes the character fire a Super Shark Missile that can track enemies and deal significant AoE Hydro damage.
