SomeGenshin Impactleaks have revealed several changes to Mualani, who will soon debut in the game. Mualani is a new character who will get her banner inGenshin Impact’s version 5.0. According to the release order, she will be obtainable in the first phase of 5.0 later this month. There is a strong chance that the Natlan-based unit will appear alongside an off-field Anemo support, Kazuha.
Genshin Impactrevealed Mualani through a drip marketing campaign, confirming she is a Natlan character like Kachina, Kinich Mavuika, Xilonen, and Citlali. The in-depth trailer dedicated to the Natlan region showcased that she is a Hydro user surfing on a shark toy. The character’s rarity has yet to be confirmed, but prominent leakers suggest Mualani will be a five-star unit like Kinich.
RecentGenshin Impactleaks from Homdgcat have revealed thatMualani’s kit and weaponwill receive some balance changes before the character makes her debut. Based on leaks, thecooldown of Sharky’s Bite (elemental skill) will be increasedfrom 1.6 to 1.8 seconds. Mualani’s elemental burst will deal damage equal to 105% (instead of 89%) of her max HP. She will generate a Puffer when Sharky’s Surging Bite hits the enemy. However, the Hydro user will restore 15 fewer Nightsoul points by collecting a Puffer.
Genshin Impact’s Mualani Will Receive Both Nerfs and Buffs
Mualani will restore eight energy (decreased from 15) when obtaining a Puffer she has created. The character will gain four Scorching Summer stacks from her weapon, but it will occur within 14 seconds (increased from 10 seconds) after using her elemental skill. As early leaks from Homdgcat suggest,Mualani will receive both nerfs and buffsbefore making her debut in the game.
Genshin Impact’s Mualaniis a Catalyst wielder whose plunging attacks deal AoE Hydro damage. Using her elemental burst, she fires a missile that tracks the enemy and dishes out damage based on her max HP. The character enters Nightsoul’s Blessing state, during which she rides the Sharky Surfboard, gains a movement speed boost, and her basic attacks are converted into shark bites. Materials that players need to upgrade Mualani are Varunada Lazurite Fragment, Mark of the Binding Blessing, Warrior’s Metal Whistle, Sprayfeather Gill, and Sentry’s Wooden Whistle.
Mualani will debut in the same version withGenshin Impact’s Kinich, who will arrive in the second phase of 5.0. According to the schedule, Mualani will be available on August 28, while Kinich will receive his banner on September 17. The HoYo team will reveal more details about these Natlan characters in a livestream on August 16.
