HoYoverse’s recent trailers have confirmed that the upcoming update 5.0 will add a wealth of new content, including the Pyro region. Every major nation in Teyvat has its divine ideals, and the official storyline has confirmed that the Natlan Archon is also known as the God of War. She has already been revealed in one of the trailer videos and has been introduced by the name Mavuika.
Even thoughGenshin Impact’s Natlan regionhas been mentioned on multiple occasions throughoutGenshin Impact’s main storyline, there is still not a lot of official information about the region. Anew poston theGenshin ImpactLeaks subreddit has revealed more about Natlan’s history, as a leak has unveiled three murals that seem to depict important historical events in Natlan. The leaker has provided descriptions for each of the images.

First Mural
Enormous dragons return to the Pyro region, killing everything in their path.
Second Mural
A character named Xbalanque faces and slays the Pyro Sovereign, ending the dragon’s tyranny over humans.
Third Mural
Xbalanque and a mysterious character join forces to create a brighter future for all living creatures in the Pyro region.
It should be noted that while the leaked images are credible and will probably be part of an upcoming in-game cutscene, their descriptions should still be taken with a grain of salt. Xbalanque has been mentioned byGenshin Impact’s Hydro dragon Neuvillette, who described him as “one Entombed With the Primal Fire,” which strongly suggests that he belongs to the Pyro nation.
Regarding his in-game appearance,previousGenshin Impactleakshave indicated that he may have a short-haired boy model and a very cheerful demeanor. Apart from the war theme and the Pyro element, the main storyline in Natlan will also revolve around its dragons, known as Saurians.
Unlike other dragons in Teyvat,Genshin Impact’s Saurianshave evolved to live close to humans. One of Natlan’s teaser videos confirmed that they live in tribes and that players will be able to transform into them to explore the world. However, this transformation mechanic will most likely be exclusive to the new major region.
