Each new character added toGenshin Impacttypically receives an Artifact set geared towards their playstyle within one to two patches of their release. HoYoverse has also released a plethora of Artifact sets providing generic buffs, boosting everything from Elemental and Physical Damage to defensive stats. The new sets coming toGenshin Impactwill now benefit the game’s newest mechanic.

The “Obsidian Codex” set will benefitGenshin Impact’s newest mechanic, with the two-piece versionincreasing characters' damage when in Nightsoul Blessingand the four-piece increasing Crit Rate. “Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City” regenerates Energy when consuming Nightsoul points for its two-piece bonus and while the four-piece set boosts Elemental Damage bonuses when triggering reactions, with the buff increased when in Nightsoul Blessing.

Both new Artifact sets will provide unique bonuses for players utilizing Natlan characters and the game’s newest mechanic. Players can activate the Nightsoul Blessing state by dealing Elemental Damage, with Natlan’s new characters gaining unique bonuses from the new mechanic. HoYoverse has already begun to reveal some of the new characters' abilities,recently detailing Kachina’s kitwith her Elemental Skill making use of Nightsoul Blessing. Both Artifact sets will release with new Domains in Version 5.0, scheduled to launch on August 28.
