Kachina will be a viable option for those who need a versatile character that can act as off-field DPS and support. Despite having a four-star rarity, she allegedly deals as much damage as some five-star units.
Before the launch of version 5.0,Genshin Impactrevealed some mechanics that only Natlan characters can use to enhance their mobility and combat prowess. One such mechanic is the Nightsoul Blessing state, which allows them to move through the air, climb mountains, and surf on flat water. After entering this special state using their Elemental Skill, Natlan units continuously consume Nightsoul points.
New Mechanics for Natlan Characters
When the party features a Natlan character and someone deals elemental damage to an enemy, a Nightsoul Burst will be triggered. When a Nightsoul Burst is triggered, characters gain a buff that increases their combat prowess. For example,Genshin Impact’s Mualanireceives a stack that lasts for 20 seconds. This stack boosts her elemental burst damage up to 45%.
When a party member triggers a Nightsoul Burst,Genshin Impact’s Kachinareceives a 20% damage bonus for 12 seconds. In addition to this combat mechanic, the Natlan region will have Nightsoul Transmission, which allows players to switch to Natlan characters and use their abilities. It will work in certain movement modes (swimming, sprinting, etc.) and in areas where Phlogiston Mechanics are present.
Phlogiston is a kind of thermal energy unique toGenshin Impact’s Natlan region. Travelers can use it to extend the duration of the Nightsoul state when they exhaust their Nightsoul points. Triggering the Everflame Seed, touching a Flaming Seed of Phlogiston, collecting Candlecap Mushrooms, destroying Phlogiston Piles, and reaching a Teleport Waypoint or a Statue of the Seven in Natlan fills the character’s Phlogiston meter.
Genshin Impact’s Natlan region will be released in version 5.0, which is due for release on August 28. The upcoming area will host a number of events, characters, and NPCs that contribute to the story.
