Each skin update typically comes with new skins for one five-star character and one four-star character, often focusing around four-star characters available for free withinGenshin Impact. The skin releases are also typically tied to the update’s main event, offering a way to earn the four-star character skin as a reward for completion. With just over a week until Version 4.8’s launch, HoYoverse is showing off the next patch’s featured skins.
The newest “Teyvat Style” skin teaser from HoYoverse, titled “Simulanka’s Blessings,” shows offGenshin Impact’s newest skins for Nilou and Kirara.Kirara’s newest skin, coined as “Phantom in Boots,” envisions the cat-like character in a “phantom thief” aesthetic, featuring a stylish outfit inspired by Fontaine complete with a new hat. Nilou’s skin, “Breeze of Sabaa,” places the dancer in elegant garb, replacing her normal clothes with a flowing blue dress and changing her hairstyle. Both skins will release with Version 4.8, scheduled to launch on July 17.
Genshin Impact Reveals New Nilou and Kirara Skins
While no new animations were shown for Nilou’s skin in Version 4.8, Kirara will feature some changes made to other parts of her gameplay’s appearance. Kirara’s Elemental Skill will include a minor change with the skin, withKirara’s “Urgent Neko Parcel” statedonning a “phantom thief” mask. No other animation changes were shown for either character’s skins, suggesting the new appearances will largely be new models for the characters. Players will be able to earn Kirara’s skin as a free reward for completing the “Summertide Scales and Tales” event in Version 4.8.
New skins are far from the only thing coming in Version 4.8 asGenshin Impactis looking to send Fontaine off with a bang. The update will introduce the Simulanka asGenshin Impact’s newest area, with the update’s flagship event centering around the mysterious region. One new character will also be joiningGenshin Impact’s roster during Version 4.8, withEmilie debuting as a five-star Dendro Polearm character.
